Yep but at least they will get an oil film from the front diff

As Mater says :if there ain't no oil under 'em, there ain't no oil in 'em.
When I worked in a LR dealership and a LR nut would come in (which was any LR owner that kept them passed the warranty period), you would get one once in a while reckoning that their LR did not leak oil, the normal reply was you must have ran out of oil.

How much is the header kit worth?

Yep, Looks like this weekend is going to be cool enough to do some work too.
Header kit was $660. Not very happy with the head plates though...they look like bananas so, I'll have to smack them round a bit.

Oil leaks are good, they stop the underbody from rusting

Nasty,$660 when they give you a jigsaw with bents bits that aren't meant to be bent, did you give them a reving?

Yeah I emailed them and they haven't replied. As soon as they got the money they don't respond anymore.

Maybe they need to see a few posts in forums complaining about lack of response, they charged you enough to at least get quick service, they probably got them made in China for $50, the more I research on www.alibaba.com/ the more I find is over priced, you just have to watch out for minimum orders or try for samples.

It's entirely possible that they did get them made in China but, yes I know all about minimum orders from China.
locally, the lowest price I could get for just the head plates in 304 was $300. Add up the cost of all those bends and it's good value. However, you'd expect the head plates to be straight. You'd also expect at least a response from them.
I looked at some other kits by other people but they're lousy 409 with mild steel head flanges for similar money.

Did some header building on the weekend. It's a bit of fun shaping the round pipes to go in a rectangular hole let me tell you! Got a couple of pipes on the Left bank done too but they are more difficult to route.

LH side...

Image

I'm going to try to use the BF 6spd shifter..

Image

Here you can see the little stalk with the magnet on the end and the pickup chips on the pcb...

Image

It's a balky thing so, I hope I can get away with it? Probably have chop the front end off it and do some custom cable holder out of metal.

Looking good. If ya get that six speed shifter to work that will look nice in the rangie. Wouldn't of thought the shifter would of been so big.

Yeah I reckon it will work really nice too.
It's a rediculous size though.
Haven't got a metal bench(of even a crappy wooden one) kickin around I could use for welding have ya Ash? I've been doing all this welding by clamping it onto the roobar!
