Hi everyone, my names sean. im 19 and im just posting up my new project. so far all the work has been completed by my self. now the project is a 1971 XY FAIRMONT WAGON. came to me as a rolling, completley stripped apart from all guards and glass. i bought another donor wagon, and transplanted all suspension from 1 to the other. Now the car is currently in primer, soon to be the Green Dash Metallic as seen on the new FG falcon. lowered on a nice set of 19" Vouge rims by Rodney Jane Racing. Now the power house is just a stock, for now Tickford Xr6 out of an EL. PROBLEM 1:Engine Mounts, Just with a bit of luck i had an EB 4Litre lying around and worked out they would bolt straight into the XY. that was great. PROBLEM 2: Crossmembers I drilled a single hole through the XY crosmember to allow for EL transmission to bolt through. PROBLEM 3: Intake Manifold, just touching the strut tower. Thinking of a custom intake manifold.
here are some pics, when more progress made, pics will be up. cheers SEAN

Gidday.
This looks like a great project. The 4L six should provide plenty of poke in the old girl. Looking forward to further progress updates. Cheers BenJ
