It's been a while since I've done anything useful on the car,
other than LED mods, which I am apparently renown for now...

But, DC_Todd got around to grabbing his custom wound Lovell's suspension out of the race car,
and I was more than happy to make a bogan trade and swap him some bourbon and smokes for some nice looking springs, that site just in between SL and SSL.
So, with the help of my older bro, I whacked it all in.

Before Lovells suspension:

After:

The wheels tuck about 15mm under the guard or so, it looks pretty mean.

Cheers DC_Todd and Kieya for the help.

Til next time,
Russ.

That looks awesome. 18's made it sit a touch higher than that, its a good stance for the car I think. you happy with it? what do you think of the ride quality? firmer?

Yeah, I'm fcking stoked with the result. Looks really tough with the wheels just tucking inside the wells.
Thanks a tonne.

Now I just need some new wheels... and I'll have a classy lookin' monty.

Sits really good and feels cool.

good work with lowering, keen as to do it with mine, although only having some sports ryders and SL for the rear, i'm not that keen on having the fully sick bro look. on the hunt for front set up, then it'll be going in.
gonna miss being able to take speed humps at 60+ k's.
also debating whether to go from SL to normal lows as i'm considering a tickford kit and with the gas tank, sub box and whatever else in the car i don't want to be scraping.

I haven't been on in a little while, I've just started my mechanic apprenticeship.
A bloke working with me has a stroked 4.2L EL XR6 engine, along with a DEV5 EL kit.... I might be visiting him soon.... haha

Cheers,
Russ.

Nice EL man!
You've transformed it from something good to something awesome!
I was about to buy one of these if I didn't get given mine!
Keep the mods tasteful as you're doing and it'll be sick!
I reckon a set of rims will set it off too just quietly

Cheers, Luke

mmmm. your car looks delicious!! :P
Perfect hight and everything.
My car used to be like that but we got talked into getting it raised an inch because the fender was cutting into the front tyres (Dropkick previous owner tried to guard roll with a pair of pliers and failed)
Luckily i kept those springs ;)

Keep up the quality work mate!!

Haha, delicious aye?
Wouldn't taste too good with the front seal leak at the moment...

But yeah, I'm pretty happy with the lowering,
I just REALLY want some new wheels and tyres, the FTRs look cool, but are a tiny bit too basic for me. They looked all right on my boxcar EA, but now, the Ghia needs something a little more flashy.
I'd be looking for something similar to this:
Image like heartagramfan's ones,
or these
Image
or these
Image like Troyman's...

Hopefully this mechanic apprenticeship allows me to save up for some nice looking wheels, as well as save for a house done the road... but I doubt it. haha

Cheers,
Russ.
