Looking good mate. Needs some tyre shine though.

Looks like you have 225/60 or 225/65s on there?

The car will be lower and the wheels will look better with 225/50s. I believe 225/55s were factory fitment with the 16s.

Yeah, I've got slighter taller tyres on there...
I'm a a*** P-plater that can't really afford to replace the 16" with good $130 tyres,
so I got given some AU 16" Tyres to swap them over.
It doesn't throw out the speed much, if at all. My GPS reads maybe 1 or 2 Km either way,

And I've put some Armor All Blackening Tyre Gel on there today, looks a bit cleaner.

I really need some 18's or something. No aftermarket blingy shiit, unless they are FPV remodels. :P

Cheers,
Russ.

Put the EL grill back on mate, Lane grill looks s**t and belongs on "the Barge". (One for you Rosco Mate    )

How about a cheap DL LTD Grille? That'd go all right,
I don't mind the NF Grille,
But eventually I want to put some meshing either side of the Ford Badge on the EL Grille,
Until then, the 'lane grille will do I reckon,

Replaced my stock front speakers yesterday,
as you can see... they were a bit worse for wear.

And I put these in to restore the sound quality,

They do the job quite well, for 2-Way 60W Clarions.

Cheers,
Russ

I'm putting the fairmont rims back on this weekend,
but I think I might leave the grille on until I find a DL LTD one,

Yeah mate, Clarion is good stuff. I'm looking into replacing the front with splits down the track,
but for now the 6.5" will have to suffice.

Cheers,
Russ.

Today I tinted the rear tail lights with VHT Niteshades.
It worked pretty well,
I'm rather happy with the result.

I applied 2 coats of the "Niteshades" (covering the clear section),
and then applied 6 coats of clear gloss enamel.

Before:
Sanded with 1200 grit Wet n Dry (Left), Stock (Right)

And I recorded a clip of the exhaust too,
I know it's a P Plater thing to do,
but why not share it with the forum.

Nice Ghia mate! i remember seeing her on carsales and thinking thats a tidy mont. good score.

I too was thinking of putting an NF Grille on my EL ghia too but then i realised it would make the car look too plane. same thing with the DF/L grille.
You should do what someone else said by getting the original grille back on, but instead of having the black inserts above and below the ford logo, replace them with chrome mesh. It would look 'the sex' on your car.

Anyway, wish you the best of luck with her. nice to see a fellow ghia owner :)

Thanks heaps,
I'm really looking into replacing the black filling with chrome meshing,
I just need to figure out how and get around to finding someone that
might have a better idea than myself.

Cheers,
Russ

New $30 SCA Chrome Meshing mod:

Image

I'm pretty happy with the result,
but I'm going to get some chrome/brushed metal to back it with.
Until then, Im pretty satisfied.

I just need to put the Fairmont wheels back on now...

Cheers,
Russ.

Looks great! told you it would look the sex!
You should try cutting out a hole behind the grille for more air flow. but i don't know if thats advisable.
keep up the good work ;)
