you guys should investigate the aftermarket bronze gears that are available...
i aint gunna bother because ive got an AU and an EF but yeah why are these so prone to failure?

yea i guess so.. as long as there is no marks on the gear i would re- use it.. i just mentioned it because i had a new aftermarket dizzy at the time mine was taken off the road.. and the dizzy gear now has harsh wear marks on the gear... |

i think my problem is that i used a high vol oil pump new everything with an aux shaft that has done nearly 300,000km a new bosch dizzy is $260

i got my bosch dizzy from city ford in melbourn for $160... |

QUESTION:
does any1 know if you can remove and replace a timing case without dropping sump reason for question is that currently i have a motor that doesnt leak a drop and i know the moment i drop the sump she'll be a leaker, i was thinking like replace without front main and knock the main seal on after the case is installed |
