im not sure if the wagon tank set up is similar to sedan but i would say either the plasic splash baffle might have come unlodged from the bottom of the tank..??

or the fuel pump is on its way out.....

HEY GUYS!!,

any1 miss me??, firstly sorry no posts been savin up to pay my taxes so not alot been goin on, ie no money, no progress, no posts, no woman, no cry

anyways here's what you've missed out on (unless you've stalked me, or i am infact the start of the trueman show)

1. tank swap a great success, turns out the baffle was brocken AND the filter on the fuel pump was missing with both repaired im gunnin again...

2. hopped into car 1 morning crank, crank, crank, crank, crank..... f**k.... dead coil 10mins going again (always keep a spare coil)

3. my starter slowly started getting weaker and weaker, went the the wreckers to get another get back in the car to leave the wreckers and its dead... sign says "no working on cars in car park"... it didnt say "no smashing starter motor with a pole in car park" after a while got the car started and home (diagnosis getting better)

4. installed a car alarm, its a jaycar model and it was so easy to install (willing to install if any havin dramas, JB HiFi & AutoBarn wanted $180), also installed remote window winders...

5. was carrying some yellow tongue flooring on roof racks and crushed 1 corner of roof (not happy) but it sent me out panel beater shopping... found a guy that will be repairing all dents, scratches, ripples and full re-spray in lightning strike silver with extra metallic flakes for $1100

ok,this is going to be a pain, spray paint on your dizzy gear-colour doesnt matter, put it back in and run it for 100ks,then pull it out and check for wear.it should be shinny in the middle of the gear teeth and no other spots, the whole tooth may be a problem as its not rolling correctly.as we stated in troymans, gear cutting-hardness and tooth profile, then the chain tensioner and guides.

up date----i rang my engine reconditioner and they knew about it for over 10 years, aux shaft bore is over size so the block is scrap-----only fix is to bore it out and fit cam bearings to suit the shaft, explains the gears stripping.

yeh ive heard of this before also but im not convinced that a motor that ran perfect for 300,000 km has this issue now from the moment i rebuild it

Hey guys...

SOME MASSIVE NEWS!!!!!

last week i opened up my rebuilt motor (the one with the aux shaft dramas) well when i got the shaft out and inspected it it looked fine... what a good sight but now i didnt know why my car was missing so bad... Long story short i was searching for a problem for approx 2 hours when i decided to open up the brand new 2 hour old dizzy i had installed (genuine bosch $280 special) and found a small spring sitting under the cap, seeming odd i proceeded to inspect the dizzy and found the rotor button was damaged....

most of you will be thinking yeh sweet a $5 rotor button, BUT!!! i thought the problem was major so i spent $200 for tow truck, and $450 on replacement motor... fairly p****d...

any who's.... in other news

my car got broken into last week, the smashed my drivers cargo window and stole my twin 12inch subwoofers, i heard it happening as i was awoken at 4.30 in the morning to my car alarm goin of but by the time i got outside it was too late they were long gone....

anyways plans for the future

tomorrow night going on the urban safari cruise on hopefully the last drive with the stock motor, plans are to get the other motor in on the weekend....
