Jaycar used to sell a self build kit, but I am not sure if they still do.

Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine.

Or, I recall someone saying something about using an XF speedo sender. Try PMing GreenMachine about it.

it should effect the shiftpoints. i believe the shifting goes by RPM not speed.

I pulled the auto out of the EF simply by just undoing all bolts and hoses (obviously) took the radiator hoses off (had to come off anyway) and took the trans off with the torqy in it still, no probs.

in the engine bay. the torque converter is bolted to the fly wheel. undo the 4 bolts and it should slide off with the gearbox providing you help it along the way *watch fingers*

or if your just swapping box's over leave the torque converter inplace

I thought it was 6 bolts??

And you'll lose alot of oil if you leave the torquey there.

the reason i need to change mine is the pump seal (between trans and tc) is leaking and leaked all the fluid out id rather leave the tc in...

as for the top trans bolts i had a look at the engine bay and i recon no chance

I normally get the top bolts from underneath with 2 extension bars and a knuckle then the socket.
