Bromance. She still looks great, i'd hit up some EF/L handles though, man they freshen them up big time.

UPDATE:
today all the bits were sent off... Pedders got the springs and will be adding extra leafs and reseting them, they are also supplying me with new bushes, new U Bolts and a pair of stiffened shocks all for just over $500(this means whole suspension will be complete) Performance Transmissions Frankston got the Transmission and are changing all seals and gaskets, $200 Jack Namara Diffs got the EA 3.9 LSD and the EL station wagon housing.... turns out that the EA had a 23 spline axle and the EL a 28 spline, this means he had to fit the gears with a new LSD so my origional quote of $200 is now $500 but at least its getting done This means tommorrow im up for $1200 but hopefully if all goes well the car will be up and running again on sunday (as i have to work saturday) |

Ok cool, so your obviously going to remove the auto surrond and fit the boot over the auto selector? Nice, i've seen this done and i like it.

Latest News!!
Yesterday: Got all the stuff back from everyone and everything looks good except for my wallet (it looks really bad) Today: After work got down to the wreckers to get the brake lines for the rear as i forgot to when i got the diff, but luckily.... My diff is off an EL and i dont know if any1 here was aware that the EF and EL wagon (not sure bout sedan) rear barke lines are different. i noticed that the brake line splitter is located in the same spot as the EB on the EF's but different location on the EL's.. so needless to say i got the brake lines off an EF. Got home and everything just plugged right in (no mods what-so-ever) all i needed was to make the brackets that hold the rubber lines from flappin everywhere wich turn out really easy PICS BELOW You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

made the brackets out of some steel cut to size, bent to a 90 degree then drilled a 16mm hole and rivet'd it in position (i recon it looks like ford did it)

UPDATE:
yesterday was the frantic last possible day of major work as the car has to be on the road and working perfect by friday as i get my license back (and i win the bet). the transmission was first, started at 8am and put her in only dramas were the top bolts and the starter motor, then i had to put the springs onto the diff and install it (no drama's) and finally the brakes (woops) a leaking washer put the car out of action for another few hours until i found a new washer. once that was done i bleed the brakes lowed the car back onto the ground and stared in marvel You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |
