Ok so thers been heaps of threads ive started due to this car but no1 yet to see it. So i decided to start this...
In the begining.... June 2006 After I crashed my beloved EL futura wich was my pride and joy due to saving up since the age of 16 i decided to buy something that was slightly cheaper and less worries so i headed out looking for an eb wagon for 2700 i found probably the cleanest eb ive ever seen and jumped at the oportunity.... July 13th 2008 I handed my license over to VicRoads for multiple driving offences and began (that night) working on my car. the plan was to do the whole el motor and interior swap here is how it panned out..... considering i had the engine out i also decided to go the complete rebuild instead of the straight swap
I Bought an ACL Race Series Rebuild Kit and sent the block, Head (DT96) and crank to the engineer to have the Boring, decking ect done... In the meantime i decided to have a look at that engine bay, fter a few hours grinding back the rusty areas it was ready for some paint, and being origional i decided on the chasis black You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

skip a few more weeks and the block and stuff has returned from the machinist (Engine Solutuions Airport West)
they did the following: -Bore -Hone -Decked Block and Head -Washed Block and Head -Linished Crank -Fitted pistons to Conrods (Gugeon pins) for just over $600 I thought that was reasonable and the job they did was very profesional and let me tell you pistons were a dead perfect fit. So the re-build began: With a few books and guides from several sources i began to slowly rebuild the motor (never done it before) You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

Now the engine couldn't possibly go back into the bay without looking good so a lick of paint had her on her way

THE INTERIOR!!!
so i decided i wanted to deck the interior out and chose the Fairlane Interior... called up the guys from FTG Auto Salvage and i know they have been good to ppl and they are big players on this site... i must say they were the biggest wankers ive ever dealt with sorry guys (honest opinion) but i did end up getting a dash off them (with nothing) and seats for $850 but because its what i wanted i took it and vowed never to deal with them again (even when i really wanted those braided brake lines) anyways my dash came with a nice massive hole on the passenger side (airbag) and so i decided i wanted to fill this hole.... heres a clue what i did You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

After constant trips to the wreckers i just about was ready to start putting the interior all back together
I welded the hand brake into position and had the seat spacers made up, the seat spacers are made of a very hard plastic and cost me $20 and worked an absolute treat You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |
