I had an adjustable shift kit. Brought it off a guy on boosted.
It had a knob , so I could adjust how hard it shifts. But after I while I wanted it to shift harder . So I cut the wires for the s3,s4 solenoid and grounded them . After a few weeks I got a sore neck haha lol

So the build has been underway for the last few weeks or so.
Just been getting a few more things when i need them and doing things for a few hours after work each day.
And as usual have been running into all sorts of little problems everywhere  so I havent got as far as Id hoped but no rush.
So far Ive removed everything from the engine bay that needed removing and mounted the new trans cooler and changed the power steering cooler to a different one.
Ive installed the new synchroniser from an EF in place of the dizzy.
Ive started hiding a few bits of wiring to make it look nicer and have mounted the new fuel pump in the tank.
I have also replaced the water pump as it was leaking and the gasket on it was pretty much gone!

Empty-ish engine bay. It still looks very messy tho!
Image

Last night i got the nut cracked on the harmonic balancer so will be taking it off and putting on the new one and mounting the crank angle sensor tonight hopefully.
New coolers mounted. Havent made up a bracket for the intercooler yet.
Image

Bosch 023 mounted to bracket. I since had to adjust it coz it was too long and hit the bottom of the tank. It now only just touched the bottom. I removed the orange baffle thing.
Im hoping it works. Cant fire up the engine to see yet. I dont know at what point it will start sucking air tho. Would be good to mount it vertically so it sucked from as low as possible.

Last night i got the nut cracked on the harmonic balancer and will be replacing that and adding the crank angle sensor tonight hopefully :D

Got the harmonic balancer changed over and the crank angle sensor mounted.
Radiator is back in, the belt back on, and thermo fans.
Slowly getting there...

You should have left the orange baffle in the tank. Mine fitted perfectly with a 040 and an 044 with a pre filter sock. You'll probably experience surge problems when you get near quarter tank. The way it sits horizontally is still ok if you have the baffle as it prevents fuel from surging to each side of the tank.

Bugger I should have tried harder to make it fit. I just read that a lot of people take it out so I did.
Ill just have to make sure I leave it more than quarter tank or take it easy driving below that.

Was trying to mount the exhaust manifold last night but I was having a few difficulties.
Its the Stage 6 manifold with the bigger pipes and it was hitting on the solid heater pipe that runs below it so I couldnt get it on.

Anyone else have this problem? Ive never read anywhere of anyone having to do anything to this..
