yeah excellent... im in no rush to do it as the car doesnt get driven at all...

the inner plastic wheel arch, the bumper used to follow it, but with the lower and starighter bar it doesn't line up.... i'll probably just use tin and bend it up and under

Yeah thought thats what you were talking about. I just clipped the plastic wheel arch to it as far down as i could and then just left it. Think i may have trimmed a bit of it in some places.
I drove mine without the splash shield part for ages..
Its off the road at the moment as Im about to start a bit of a proper build to do with the engine  cant wait! just waiting on all the parts to show up.
Ill probably do that shield part of it then while the bumper is off.

Yeah I got a whole kit and then some upgraded stuff. Geoff has put in all the best stuff with this kit.
Got the Stage 3 kit...all up is costing quite a bit haha but im doing it properly from the start.
One of Geoff's new products in his kits is ceramic ball bearing turbos.
Im getting:
Stage 3 kit but with..
GT3582r ceramic ball bearing turbo
Stage 6 exhaust manifold
Iceman 1200 plenum
New billet fuel rail
Powder coating of manifold and dump pipe
ECU is from Geoff also and its a bit less known but looks pretty awesome and quite a bit cheaper so giving it a go. Its a Perfect Power XMS4C-8A and with this Im going all sequential injection and ignition.
Doing all the work myself as well.. except for fine tuning..
All up costing a bit more than 6g's from Snort and then the rest of the stuff..
Siemens 60lb injectors
Bosch 023 pump
LS1 coils
Balancer, Crank and Cam sensors to go sequential
but theres still many other little things ill need to get on the way through as well.
Gonna be a pretty big build! For me anyway haha

I think it was about $1500 for the EL kit from Gas Research and had it installed locally. Goes pretty well i reckon and everyone seems to think they are the go...

Well...its time. I have finally now got just about everything I need for my turbo build!
With thanks to Snort Performance and by doing some research I bought everything required.
I am pretty excited.

I will keep everyone updated as I go.

It will be a bit of a learning curve for me too as its the first time doing a turbo build but from reading up on lots of other peoples builds im pretty confident.

I started tonight just by removing the front bumper and guards.
I am moving the battery to the boot and running as much wiring as I can into the guards to neaten up the engine bay a bit.
