Not another turbo 6...:P

Looking good Marc...I reckon stick with the E-series. Spare parts plentiful when the s**t hits the fan. Not to mention you have a lot of knowledge on the I6 SOHC engines that would be more useful then the dumbfounded look on your face with DOHC.

Start from scratch or continue with a job done well?

phong =P~

gave the car a bath today and got a few happy snaps.

btw after looking around i havnt found any jap cars or anything that interests me, i am 99% going through with the turbo build if Snort will ever email me back....

note, yes intake pipe looks a lil unfinished thats because it isnt haha, but i care not as the new intake wont use it, as long as it works for the next 4>6 weeks.

anyhoo pics

That first pic is mint man!! I dont think ive ever seen an EF lowered on FTR's look as good as that to be honest, nicely done!!

Ive got a similar ride height to that, pretty low up front slightly higher in the rear. Suits your car well

cheers mate, one of the reasons ive got 2.5 sets of FTR's haha, love the stance its got although it could be about 2cm lower in the back, was perfect when the gas tank was in, ive never understood that rear tires tucked in and fronts way out look, i like this one better, less atraction from the rozzers too :P

i cant lower the back anymore as there are monster speed humps around here, even at this height if i dont craw over one in particular it grinds the underside of my car.

anyhoo a pic i forgot in the last post

tidy work mate. i love seeing the build on your car cause its rpetty much identical to mine!

btw, have a quick look in my build thread, around page 3 or 4 and have a gander at the tail lights. They look really good against the poly green. maybe something you can think about.

If you don't hear from Snort, speak to CVE.
Snort are always slow with communication.

i have news of sorts, bad news for some who like reading/seeing the car, and good news for someone, i know above i said that i would not be selling this car, but ive had ALOT and i mean ALOT of thinking about this and now;

My car is for SALE.

i have been offered a car that better suits my needs, and as such my car is for sale, i have put countless hours and $$$$'s into this car, ill very be sad to see it go.

am presently doing some light tidy up and stuff preparing for the sale, to make the new owner get the car past roadworthy relatively easy.

for those interested ive set the price to what i feel is a realistic price of $6500 with 6 months rego.

im also going to be listing ALOT of E-series parts inc heads, manifolds etc etc, look for a for sale post soon

Cheers for the comments guys.

Been working on tiding things up, there will be a few lil things for the next owner to do, but once they are done the car will be a nice clean weapon, i just dont have it in me anymore.

I hate that the last few days the car is super clean ive had a few people at the lights and autoshops give the car compliments, makes it harder to sell haha, girlfreind and her freinds think im nuts for selling it they love it.

The for sale post should be up soon, the parts sale post is taking a while as i need pics of all the crap etc, and i have ALOT of parts to get rid of, set of FTR's, 3x sets injectors, manifold, 2 heads, list is never ending.

And yes phong im getting an already turbo'd 6, will be an interesting change, but a fun one never the less.

Its a beautiful car, and I'll put money on you regretting the sale, but you have to do what you have to do.

today was a hard day but my car that i have literally done each and every bolt on was passed to its new owner.

i didnt get the price i was after due to some problems just before sale, but im very happy that its new owner is an e-series nut, from a ford family, member of club etc etc, so that helps the mind a bit.

it will be missed, as it was an incredibly fun and engaging car to drive.

ImageImageImage

As a few people that i know in the club know i have purchased a Toyota Soarer jzz30 GT-TL, i chose this for many reasons, great GT car looks, easy 250 rear, easy 12 sec quarters, all while retaining all the luxuries and comfort that Lexus designed the car to have and insurable etc.

Image

So far the Soarer has very simple mods while waiting for the falcon to sell just.
-Hyper Medallion Cat-back
-Full BFI (soarer clubs term for modded intake box)
-Greddy Intercooler
-19"s with 275 rubber out back
But alot of work is planned, with parts in the mail while i type :)

this wont be it from me i will still haunt these forums from time to time, and will tag along to any future drag or dyno days you guys have as ive made some great friends from here, might even be able to boost the numbers with some soarer club members.

i wont lie, im not a fan of the jap brigade as i work for a importer and know them differently to what alot of others do but good luck with the new ride, hope it all goes well..

full kudo's to you, well maybe one off for selling the beast..lol.
