Hi guys,
Ive been a member on here for quite a few years now but never really had my car in a state that i was ready to 'show it off', there always seemed like there was a long way to go but the road is nearing its end, everyone knows there car is never really finished but i think I'm getting close. I bought the car a few years back (when I was 18) totally stock, 40 000k's and still under warranty. Within about 6 months I saved up the cash for an SCT X3, some green tops and a set of straight through pipes to replace the centre muffler. With a bit of tuning, the car made 265 rwkw on 12 psi. Time to hit Willowbank 1st pass I was getting really bad fuel surge so I backed off mid track and rand a 14 flat at 90 mph. There was no point continuing because I only had a quarter of a tank and I knew I would just be breaking down mid track again so I called it a night and decided to return the following week. This paid off because the car was good for a high 12 down the quarter with a full tank of fuel. Time for some show that matches the go My Fiancé bought me a BF Typhoon body kit (how awesome is that!!) just a fibreglass ebay job but it came up ok.. then I realized the stock 17's weren't gonna cut it with the new phoon kit so i had to go and buy a set of 20" XHP S-35's in matt black :p and some superlows........ and some monroe shocks... :p This is how it now looks now Attachment: Front 1.jpg Realizing the potential of these 4 litre sixes and watching videos of 1200+ hp falcons on youtube, I very quickly got the urge to up the boost again so I got on the phone to Brad at Atomic and ordered some stronger valve springs. Within week or so, my new valve springs arrived along side the hired removal tool from Atomic. Long story short the mechanic I hired to install the valve springs ran into dramas, cam bearings had 'silver glitter' all through them... ouch now I had to decide if I was going to through on a new head and hope my 'glitter' hadn't found its way anywhere else or if I was going to rebuild the whole thing.... Knowing I would be at a stage some time in the future where a stronger bottom end would be required I decided to bite the bullet and fork out the coin for and Atomic 698 rebuild. So I parked it up in the shed and began the process of pulling out the engine. Once it was out, I put the long motor on a pallet and sent it off to Sydney to visit Brad at Atomic for a few weeks. Brad was extremely professional and very easy to deal with, constantly ringing me with updates on work that had been finished or he was close to finishing. He said my block was a good example of the barra block with almost no core shift (from the casting process) and that thankfully there was no other damage other than the head. To save me ringing around sourcing parts (cooler, surge tank, injectors, bigger turbo, blah blah blah) from lots of different places Brad kindly offered to have it all sent to him and it could all be returned with the engine, all I had to do was give him the list. This is what turned up 3 very long weeks later: My new 698 GTA long motor that Brad filled with all his magic XR6T porn, A Process West 3.5 kit including 4" intake and Surge Tank, A brand new Garrett item (thicker high nickel casting, upgraded compressor housing and larger flapper), some big Siemens injectors and a few other things. Attachment: Pallet.jpg A few pics of the install: Attachment: Long Motor.jpg Attachment: Cooler.jpg Attachment: T Body.jpg I managed to get a set of slotted rotors and good pads dirt cheap so they wet on too: After all that I also though in some super pro diff bushes: Back to the dyno Run in tune made 345 rwkw All that was through an Xforce dump/cat, the straight pipes I mentioned earlier and a standard rear muffler. I knew that power level was the absolute limit for that exhaust so I rang Brian from Exhaust Innovations in Brissy because I heard that he makes a nice 4" system for the B series sedans.. Heres Mine: Back to the dyno again where it made 375rwkw on 2 psi less boost... I Really don't have the words to explain how good the new 4" system sounds.... It would put a horn on a jellyfish.. We ran out of time on the dyno that saturday because the workshop owner needed to leave early for personal reasons, not wanting to make the four hour drive back to brisbane at a later date we finished the tune on the street. The tuner had all the sensors plugged directly into his laptop so if you saw a yellow falcon getting around Brissy with wires coming from the tailpipe, about 4 from under the bonnet and some others from god knows where else, all running back to a dude in the passengers seat with a computer on his lap... that was us :p the final tune felt considerably stronger than the figure mentioned before (and we put the boost back up to around 20 psi) but we didnt actually get a power figure because we didn't have a dyno available on the day. There may also have been some ZF retuning done but thats a story for another day. There we go, thats just about all I can be bothered to type in one day, I'm sure there is lots of stuff I have forgotten to mention but I will update this some time in the future. Oh yea, I also put the PPAuto Tripod and gauges in, and replaced the lost ICC clock with a windscreen mounted GT item. more pics to come, didn't realise there was a limit lol You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Righto.. update.
As you can probably see in the sig, the car made a pretty good figure on around 18 psi which is pretty much maxing out the turbo that I chose, I know the engine is capable of a much larger figure with only minor upgrades (turbo, plennum etc) and one day it will be pushed further but I still drive this car everyday, so does my misses, so I wanted something that was reliable and not to laggy. Not long after all this went on the car I also got one of these: Attachment: Alex.JPG Her name is Alex and she's one of the few things that comes before the car Now i'm trying to decide whether to A: sell the car.. B: whack a standard ba engine in it and sell it as a na xr6 with rims and a kit or C: same as b but keep it and my other half can drive it and ill put all my go fast bits in an e series in a few years time and have a wicked weekend car.. at the moment I'm leaning towards c (this time with a GT45 and T56). Ideas??? I'll keep adding pics as I find them, I recently bought a new computer and am in the process of transferring everything over.
