It felt a lot firmer straight away, and I noticed it feels a lot higher too.
Mirror sounds great, what sort of cash we looking at? I could come pick it up and meet you. PM me with details. Thanks again.

Today I spent a while giving the mont a pretty heavy cut and polish. I can't believe how much damage it cleans up, the car only has a few marks on it now.

I took some pictures of the cleaned up interior and engine bay too. Excuse the car being dirty, it has started raining here again today.

I also tried some more pro looking shots, I really need to get a decent camera. I would like to put grey EL seatbelts in to match the seats too, but REALLY trying to save for a house.

Looking good dude, photos came out mint. The EF looks great, seems to sit at a very nice height now. Interior is bloody clean too :). Engine bay is nice and tidy, reminds me a lot of how my engine bay used to look when i first got it completely stock.

I reckon a nice candy red/blue or green colour rocker cover would give the engine bay a new look.

Thanks guys, made my day :D The car doesn't even look shiny in those pics though...

I spend too much time on it...

I didn't polish the bootlid, front & rear bars or the sidemoulds yet, been lazy. The paint on the sidemoulds is chipped in places after they came off, and the polish is hard to clean out of them.

KWIKXR, your comments always make me grin :D I'd love to do the rocker cover in a dark metallic gunmetal colour, with some gloss black around the place, but I'm reluctant to f**k up the factory stuff when it is mint.

EFFII I used Meguiars Medium Cut compound, hand applicator pads and a microfibre cloth to buff. Just your normal stuff, just wanted to clean the crap and grease off the paint. The bottle says to use only with a rotary buffer, but meh. White is too easy, doesn't show swirl marks or anything. It doesn't look shiny in those pics, because it was f**k dark when I took the photos, in the side on one you can see the black sky. All the best with your painting project.

TickXR, give the NF some more love and polish it. :D

Well I finally got off my a** and did some more with the Ghia.

-It needed new shocks (I never used the XR6 Front Struts, sold them to a mate). So I got Some Monroe GT Gas, fitted them and some XR8 Front springs. Also put in a camber kit so the tyres don't get destroyed.
-Fitted a 2.5" Cat-back. Don't know what brand, it has one muffler and sounds quite deep.
-Got some Kuhmo Ecsta Tyres onto the fronts. Will do the backs too when I get around to it.
-You can't see in the photos because of the filth (Crap weather here again), but the lips on the wheels have been rubbed back and polished. Took a few hours of mucking around with my mate, made a huge difference.
-Fitted a new Pioneer Deck with the OLED display, and a Pioneer Comp 12" From a few years ago out of my missus old car, she just got an AU VCT XR6. Dynamic White too :D
-Also I have a wood dash spear to go in, along with a new mast and rope for the aerial, new boot struts and a new coil pack.
-The seats copped a clean up and are looking mint.
-And on Thursday, It's getting Tinted for my birthday :D

I have some pics I just took in the rain, will get better ones after the tint and when its clean. Doesn't normally seem to sit that high in the back, is on a funny angle.

Edited that now, photobucket fail. The exhaust sounds better than I thought it would, isn't too loud which is good, but quite deep and throaty. Sounds nuts at high revs :D

I'll put some more pics up. Your Fairmont is one of my main inspirations for this, more subtle and classy.

Not sure what happend to the pictures, but heres some more if anyone is interested. Put on some EL Ghia moulds I got off elf100capri, along with a chrome grille insert. Its also been tinted. Next thing I will do is pull the corner lights out, and take the towbar off. Trying to get it as clean as possible. If anybody has a spare Aerial up/down switch with the plug and a small section of loom, I'd love it!

This first pic was before the latest few things, but I like the pic.
