Yeah as mentioned (in ED models) XR's have the red body moulding... Your grey one indicates to me its probably a GLi... Silver was on Futuras, Fairmonts and the like... Red on XR's and Black on the Sprint...
Other thing is... The booster... XR's ran dual diaphragm boosters... All V8's run them... But only XR's in the I6 have them... Again show us your engine bay... Check for a T on the head and a T one the rocker cover... Looks to me like its just got an XR boot on it (spoiler and garnish)... Wheels are steel ones like GLi ones... Again recaro seats in cloth were std... 6 gauge cluster... Momo was an option... Cheers, Tim

Contact Ford & they can run the VIN number to tell you if it's a Xr6 or not. I had them run the Vin's on my Eb Xr8's, both turned up genuine Xr8 factory 5spds.
It looks like a clean car whatever spec it is. Post up some interior pics man! Cheers ToranaGuy

Looks s**t in white against cardinal red anyway...
Compare the engine number to the vin... It may have the original in it and he's fed you lies to make you believe its an XR... Also check the computer... ED guessing 94 model would have 4TAX catch code where the X is anything... 93 tickford will have the "T" in the part number so instead of 93DA-xxxxx it would be 93TA-xxxxx part number... Cheers, Tim

EB-ED XR6 ECU catch codes are 2DAD (Manual) 2DBD (Auto) its not genuine, ED XR's were never released in cardinal red, only White, Black Pearl, Cobult Blue, Polenesian Green and Red.

My ED is a 3DAC (non tickford)
I guess XR's would be a 3 as well? Later the D became a T to identify Tickfords... Previous to that the T was incorporated into the part number where it went from 93DA for std to 93TA for tickford... A is manual and B for auto yes... The last letter can be anything as it only identifies which revision the computer is (as things improve they would release a new revision of the computer (or more so the program in it)... So I've seen everything from A to K i think... Interesting to know about the colours though... Cheers, Tim

Yeah clearly not an xr6, but his caption does say xr6 "moke up", or in english "mock up".
