Not that much really, if you take away all the stuff I impulse bought
Stuff is pretty cheap for the 5Ls if you shop around as well, that SFI spec Powerbond 'Race' balancer was only 220.
Billet steel lightweight flywheel 370.
Springs only $130, with retainers, locks, shims and valve stem seals.
But yeah spent a fair bit so far :D

Nicko, charger will be loud as f**k as well, seeing as it's Dave's V-1 S-trim.
Should be a bit of fun, just have to stay away from aspiring Senior Sergeant Richies!

Hey jared, if you don't mind me asking what did the cobra manifold set you back? Good work on the Sprint too, don't get much tuffer IMO!

Bought it second hand from EDXR8 off these forums, I'll have a look through my PMs, I cant remember off the top of my head.
I actually have an AU explorer that I won't be using if you are interested?
Fire me a PM if you want.

Well done.

Coming along very nicely Jared.
Im using a BBK fuel reg on my ute and they are a nice bit of gear.
Your right about hiding the Powerbind balancer, i also used the race one on mine and they are also a really nice bit of gear.

I'll be staying tuned for next update.

Jeff

I'm sure everyone is trying to steer away from Senior Sergeant Richie...weird thing, Richie has never been promoted, he must be upset.

On topic, looking good Jared...you still owe me a ride in your ute :P.

phong =P~

Cheers guys!
Everyone loves pics in build threads :D
Hopefully a decent update after this weekend, depending on when UPS get my package here.
Just gotta keep working on it, and try not to lose motivation

Phong, if you called in sick on saturday you could claim it :P

Got a box from Summit yesterday (yay, christmas!), got the fuel rails and FMS 42lb/h injectors back on last night with the BBK reg.
Also got a BBK fuel pressure gauge that is going off the Ford schrader valve at the front of the drivers side rail.

Put an ATI adjustable timing pointer on too, will time the engine tonight, along with tidy up some of the loom in preperation for the upper manifold going back on.

Looks really good with the cleaned up rails and the black lower + rocker covers, I'm hoping the "mostly black with some shiny bits" look will hide the stock loom and wiring a bit, make them stick out less.
Gotta paint a few more bits black, engine cover mounts, coil bracket stuff like that.
Will paint engine cover wrinkle black and put it on for shows and stuff, just to hide the s**t ED looms :(

Got fuel pump in too, and had a bit of a setback when I broke the low pressure return line fitting on the brand new PS pump.
Not f**k happy, no one to blame really but myself.
But I will blame the pump anyway
Don't know whether to try and get a barbed fitting screwed into it or what.
Will take pics of progress tonight.

Few pics of lower manifold back on, with fuel rail and injectors and s**t.

Old man fixed the PS pump for me by threading a barbed fitting into it. Yay.
Gotta get some new hose tomorrow and then that will go back on.

Holding off on putting the upper manifold back on because I've found a brand new injector loom I think I'll get, all the conduit on mine is old and brittle, and its easier to get complete then replace it all.

Also splurged and brought a High Energy sump, VPW had one on the shelf amazingly.
While my motivation for working on this car sometimes wanes, my desire to spend $$$ never does :(
