Just bought a xh xr6 manual ute for my daily/toy.The plan is CMS 2A cam in the new year, some extractors, fresh paint(its still good) and some new wheels i hate the current 17's on it.Will put some pics up in the morning of it.One question its a 97 with a bbm intake on it i thought xh's had long manifolds on them ? ....

Good score. You're right, the wheels are a bit funny looking. There 's a similar ute down the road from me (not quite as good, carry bar , tradies ute i suspect) for 2 gorilla's

Cheers

Im with ya regarding those rims too, cant stand that style at all especially on a Ford. Your making a wise decision replacing them

Very very smik mate. The wheels would look good on another car but yeah they dont really work on it I must agree.
Hopefully sooner rather then later I will be parking my a*** in a ute again , but it will be a V8 this time...............

Its funny though when you mentioned the EL motor. It has the EF/XH1 front on it. I would have thought the XH2 would have the EL motor. Is it the original motor?

just had a look and its original motor in it,might of had a dingle and they put that front on it....

I just looked at the pictures and answered my own question. It has the EF air bag as well. Man XH's are bitsers!!

Still a good score though. So many XH's out there but not many good ones.

Do the xr6's have falcon longreach emblem on the air bag ? maybe its been changed ? ....

Possibly. I think Snap would have the definite answer on that one. Has it got a LSD?

yep, havent checked ratio but feels alot sharper then the xg ute.

Going to run it at wsid soon with my micky t E/T radials on,there 255/50/16's on ba rims while the car is standard still then again after cam, extractors and exhaust to see what it picks up....

Been working on a few things on the ute of late.Changed the intake to ba type with 3'' pipe onto the el air box with airhog air filter usally use k&n but thought id try this one.Just got the hood lining out to get redone as it was sagging.

Do you's think the motor would be a hi-bred in the ute as its a 6/97 model but rego papers say its xh96a and the head has 95dt on it ?? if its 95 head that means it should havent have au cam/rocker gear ?? ....
