big let down

had problem with the spark breaking out. and we popped a inlet manifold gasket and nearly cooked it. didn't even pop a set of tyres.

will work on that and next meet it hopefully should be running a intercooler and the 8psi pulley

Come on guys, you wouldn't torture a half decent falcon on the skid pan just for kicks would you? I wouldn't....

So the first outing was a fail, that happens for a lot of ppl. First outings are test runs. Was it disappointing, yes, but now the issues have been found, they can be worked around & next time should be more fun.

Keep at it WILDEB, next time round will be more fun.

Cheers

I wouldn't mind seeing a XD with a blower out there.
Tell me you wouldn't.

Yeah, but it's a quick & easy bolt on with a crs kit to get a blower on a VN v6, and the car was picked up for next to nothing, so why not?

Cheers

f**k yeah.. i love this build...

all those haters are young guys with N/A cars anyways.. once you get a taste of boost you dont care what make or model it is you just want to see people with boost.

and id love to see anyone built a supercharged XD for under $250 bucks..

i remember street machine done that VN commodore, cracked 13's N/A down the 1/4, was a V6 too. then they went to turbo and i stopped buying the mag after then so im not sure what happened after that but they can go pretty good and as you said cheap to buy.

needs a matte black paint job and some sponsors once its boosting good.. 8psi should be awesome.

on another note.. is it really worth going intercooler? as the car is mainly going in circles so airflow would be very minimum... perhaps a W2A setup?

seriously. shut the f**k up. i haven't spent 50 grand on an old EA like you have. apparently

twas double that according to the thread.. pyroay spend over 100k.. massive difference between the 2 builds. i know who would win in a race too

anyways back to the VN... i wouldnt worry too much VN's do better burnouts then most stock falcons anyways and until people post pics of said burnouts the VN wins :P
