Our BA futura wagon is getting a bit of a FTG make over.

The car started life as a ABC tv company futura wagon. with abs and traction control. red with dark tinted windows. and a alloy bullbar.
we purchased this car in Dubbo. it had had a short in the wiring (to driving lamps we expect) and had burnt the front rh cnr of the engine bay.

After it arrived at FTG , we stripped the engine bay , replaced the bonnet and re-painted it in the factory red. aswell as a BF XR front to enhance its looks.

So we were left with a totally bare engine bay and a few discussions were had after work over a few beers about building up something a little bit different. and a BF typhoon was on the hoist being stripped.one thing led to another and we had decided that it would be good for business to assemble a unique car with the mods our customers are asking about so we can assist more in helping them with conversions.

The BA TSUNAMI wagon was planned
some of its features will be

BA Futura Wagon (red in colour)
Darkest leagal tint
BF XR front
322MM brake upgrade
BF typhoon 270kw motor
BF 6 speed auto trans
typhoon front suspension & custom lowered rear springs
BF tornado diff
custom exhaust
flash tune
dual zone climate control
fpv cluster
leather/woodgrain momo type steering wheel & matching dash trims
fpv starter button
fpv scuff plate inserts
typhoon or GT wheels (still unsure)

let the fun begin!!

and once it has been built. off for rego. then it will be for sale!!!!!

Here are our latest photos, taken today.
We are just about ready for our Tornado/Typhoon motor to be mounted in the wagon.

so many people have said that the auto wont fit into a BA body shell
here is a pic of it fitted. it is tight but yes it fits straight in and bolts up!

Image

the engine bay with the typhoon engine in place. motor has only done 31kms no thats not 31000 thats 31!!!!

Image

now comes all the hook up and piping ect. we also need to make up a tailshaft , we MAY be using a commodore shaft with modified ends on this as it is the best fit we have found so far.

next is to pull the dash out and start the wiring inside and fitting of the 6 speed shifter and dual zone climate control!

the reason for the front end is because it is a product that we offer. this whole project is about what we can offer for a BA and BF
