did the lifter tick go away eventually or improve with the new oil? have to catch up soon, josh was to convert his NF to AU V8 now, im sure he'd want to suss it out |

I took the missus away over the weekend. Took a few shots of the barge at Port Eliot, near Victor Harbor. Heres my favorite.
 Its now intermittently refusing to run on gas. I have some injectors on the way to hopefully get it running properly on petrol. I have stripped the manifolds and the rocker covers off, ready for a minor freshen up, and for the injectors to go in. Ordered some goodies to go in, aiming to have the bay looking really clean, and have it running perfectly. -NGK Plugs, dizzy rotor and cap, and Eagle 9MM Leads. Found it interesting that Bosch don't do the dizzy cap and rotor, ordered Champion items. Ford wants just over $200 for the cap  -Genuine Thermostat, new Coolant tank and cap. -Lifters -PS Pump and belt -Intake mani gaskets. Also ordered the correct "5 Litre V8" and Ghia shield badges for the front quarters, and some genuine Headlight protectors. Hoping to get an Intake manifold cover AU style, anybody know where to get one? |

forget about the cover mate, just get yourself an explorer manifold and put one of the V8 badges on it.

Heres how it looks at the moment.
Was going to chuck the new lifters in today, but I opened the boxes to find flat lifters. Pretty sure I can't use these? Heres a pic of some of the new bits too. The leads are 9mm Eagle items, if nothing else at least they will look good (they are blue).

Thanks for the link, I've been watching a few and I'll pick one up. I looked up the lifters and they are for an early Windsor, so I'll go sort that out tomorrow. I'll give it all a huge clean as I reassemble it. Should look mint when I'm done, I'll do before and after photos to compare. Thanks Mick.

Went and picked up more goodies from Ford today.
What could this be?  Heres a clue....  Headlight covers! They are only $90 for a genuine set.  And heres the rest of it....  So now I'm out there with the angle grinder and drill removing seized power steering pump bolts. Fun

love the car....... NF 5.0L with sunroof , nice !!!
bay will look sweet with the new water tank, but unfortunately they start to go brown after a few weeks like i found with mine

I must have a good one still looks like new
 Don't know how old it is, but I've had the car 3 years and the previous owner had the car in storage for 2 years before I bought it.......could be the original one for all I know!
