Well as pretty much everyone knows I bought this car as a donor car to use the motor in my ute and was going to wreck it out.
Paid $1100 for it. 160000kms , pretty much perfect interior apart from the factory fitted hood lining turban , Bilstein shocks and lowered suspension and a pretty bloody good stereo system. It does have some slight hail damage but nothing that is not easily repairable. It also had a stuffed water pump and a blocked radiator. Both easy cheap fixes that got the purchase price down. Well silly me chuked some rego on it because it passed first go and started driving it. 95% of people told me after driving it for a few weeks I wouldnt wreck it out cause I would fall in love with it and it appears they were right. The bug has bitten and I have started playing with it. I dont have the time or energy at the moment with work etc to be doing a full project so it is good to have a car that I can do small mods too and enjoy without it being a major chore. Hopefully in the next week or so I can actually get my camper trailer back under the carport where it belongs instead of sitting out in the frigging weather! Well here it is when I first got it. Here it is at the moment after I put my AUII copies on it with some new tyres and lowered the front more. Have made a few other changes which I will get some pics of tomorrow. Put my Sony Bluetooth headdeck in it. Managed to get a brand new grey XR perferated leather wheel from a member on here so chucked that on. Had the exhaust changed a bit to actually sound a little like a V8. Up and coming. Fit Lockright diff lock Mod my Pro Matic shifter to run the 4 speed auto 4.11 diff gears GT40P heads Extractors Yeah it will never stop there will always be something to do to keep it interesting but thats the way I want it at the moment. Have something to play with but something that I dont need to dedicate a huge chuck of my life too.

Yeah it will be time to chuck the heads on after Chrissy. We have to take the girls off down the coast for a bit of R&R first but. {USERNAME} wrote: Looking good mate, absolute f**k bargain!! I know what you mean by a huge chunk of your life taken up by a project. I wish mine was a complete runner. Taking up a whole lot of useful space doing nothing at the moment. Did you have any luck with finding LPG gear? Been wanting to reverse my LPG conversion......motivate me! BTW....welcome to the tank club!

I actually have quite a bit of LPG gear here already that I would be using to set it up as a straight gas only system. Would not be real legal but with no backfeed system or computer etc so getting it passed could be an issue. Ultimately I want to run a Impco 425 on a standard 4 barrel system and put it out the bonnet.
So yeah have the under bonnet gear , just have to get a tank. Well Mick PM me a price you want for your system. It might be the ticket to get it all up and complied on the BBQ bottle and then later on I can swap my gear over on to it. Yeah you can get used to driving around in your lounge room hey...................

Seriously, WTF with the price? Cheers. Yeah it was definately cheap. The water pump was stuffed , to the point that when you put water in it it just poured out past the seal and come out of the bearing lubrication hole. It was only drivable for a few km's as it was. So being just out of rego , not really drivable and in a small Central coast town it made it fairly difficult to sell. The young , (somewhat tidy I should add) girl I bought it off could not afford to both pay to repair it and reregister it , so I got it at a good price. Ashcook lined me up with a cheap car carrier to bring it down to my place so once it was here I changed the water pump over and put some rego on it.

I have to say the lady who runs the transport company is somewhat tidy too Pity I didnt get the chance to meet her..................She is one of the most down to earth , easy going people to talk to and organise stuff. So much so that you would not think she was a good sort. Someone is a lucky dude. To get a tidy package thats down to earth.............very few of them around.

Had the roof lining done today. Come up excellent!
Cost me $170 and my sanity. I lost my sanity because I had to go into frigging Penrith Plaza to kill a couple of hours while waiting for it to be done. Oh well got a little bit of chrissy shopping done anyway. Then changed the interior lights over to LED when I got home. Jaycar now sell the replacement wedge globes that are LED in white , red and blue. For a couple of dollars each I could not be stuffed solder and making them up. Picked up my front slotted rotors and new extreme duty pads today. They will go in one afternoon during the week. The just have to organise for the d**k lock to go in , the shifter be modded to fit and another little device for fun I will be fitting , and that shall be it for a while. Then I just have to start looking at the gas conversion..............
