Well ive just ordered 4L of some EGO colour paint for the beast, hopefully will have the old engine out, painted engine bay and then maybe with a little luck may even get the V8 in there. Finally some progress for once.

I must say I'm rather impressed. So impressed that I want to twist the arm of a local lady into giving me her factory black XF ghia. The thing hasn't moved for 3 years and every time I talk to her about it she freezes up when I offer her a price.

been busy over the weekend, got rid of all the glue and **** from the side mouldings, removed all chrome edging, engine is bay is all cleaned out and pretty much ready to go. decided I am going to put BA side indicators where the alloy head badge used to be. also covering over the key hole on the boot, and passenger door. also covering up the aerial hole aswell.
Decided also to take the chrome edging off the boot and my mate is gonna spot weld all the holes up. Overall been pretty good 2 weeks time we will hit it hard and then will be able to paint finally! here are progress pics over the last 2 days

Know what your saying mate.
I have run out of cars to drive at the moment so will be having a go at the ute while Im waiting to get some answers from insurance on my 4x4. Then I will have to put my efforts into that first.

just did a test spray on the rear top qtr panel. its fukn skitzo sparkle in the sun and with no clear coat on yet. mmm
