Me and My brother built this EB/EL 5 speed about 5 monthes ago and have been driving it around since June. It is an original EB2 GLI 5 speed with no smart lock and no speed limit. i am customizing the EL dash cluster to fit into the EB dash, then i have to do the wiring for the EL dash cluster. i was thinking about purchasing a BA-BF fibre glass bonnet bulge and moulding it to my bonnet. it is still running the standard EB computer with EL motor but soon im gonna get the J3 chip and tune it properly. The only current engine mods are sports exhaust, Better spark Plugs and leads, and the EL Intake Manifold.

BA Back seats are very different to AU ones. Biggest issue is the fact that the BA seat cushion is a lot thinner then the AU one due to the fuel tank being under the floow and the BA having a slightly higher floor pan in the rear. Hey there EFFalcon, yeah iv got the back seat sitting in there and iam currently trying to find the eaziest and most of all safest way for a every day DIYer to custom a BA back seat in a e-series. Give me a week or 2 playing around with the back and Iam sure ill figure out a way to mount it evenly and safely. Cheers mate.

Nice work there jerrytorry, It looks like you guys have done a nice job with the front fitment and paint. Let us know how you go with crafting the BA buldge on. I saw a local EL here dropped on its guts with some 19 inch chrome XHP JETS on it and it looked absolutely mint, I think your car would suit some big chromies such as the Jets on it. Any ways, keep us updated on how your beast comes along mate. Very nice mate.

Top job, real eye opener this shall be

BA ENGINE FITMENT part 2
Well iv got the donk in. I finally got off my but and went to my local wreckers to get some new mounts. i cleaned them up rubbed them back and blew some black on them to shine them up. Pretty much heres the step by step of how I went: Removed the old BA engine mounts: Wack the newbes on. I used new rubber mounts to, very cheap to buy, saves having to do it again down the track: Youll have to cut a section out for the shifter to sit back, i ended up removing about 2 inchs. It took me a while to realize why the engine wasnt going back any further, heres the mount bolted to the frame: And 2 final shots: Iam calling it a day and ill fit the bonnet on monday arv, ill let yous know how i go with the fibre glass bonnet and weather Iam hitting the head or not. Thanks guys.

Looks good in there.
I hope you will be pulling it back out to at least paint the engine block? Look forward to seeing how you go with the bonnet. Cheers BenJ

Looks nice all right... But of course he wouldn't be leaving the engine in there (as is) without giving it the decent once over BenJ. Wonder how it would look YELLOW? You can get engine enamel in yellow by the way........
Can't wait to see how you go with all the wiring and what not on the BA install mate... Top effort thus far. Highly highly Mr Green... Am almost glowing like Lukes light sabre with Mr Greeness. |

Yellow VHT engine enamel is rather bright, but i reckon it would be the go, would show up nicely against the purple engine bay, and much better than Ford Rust! I painted up a rocker cover for my mighty boy in the VHT Yellow engine enamel, but i think it's too much for the white engine bay, with the block ford blue & the sump black, with all alloy bits as raw alloy.
If i had of done the block in Yellow the rocker cover would look the part. Anyway, that's looking wicked with the engine in the bay. Keep up the good work dude! Cheers ToranaGuy

Bonnet Issues:
So much for the fibre glass bonnet, the head of the motor still hits the bonnet . I was hoping it would miss especially with the bulge crafted in it. So what are the options? 1) I could make up some 5mm thick plates that could slide in between the k-frame and chassy, this should drop the engine however it will raise the front of the car. 2) Remove a section out of the bonnet and itll then require repainting underneath. There is a 3rd option but i dont have the skills of crafting up some shorter engine mounts or the money to pay some one else. Any ideas people. I think making some thick plates up would be eaziest way. Any ways heres some shots to show you guys how serious it is. A bit of a distance shot: Shes sitting up pretty high: This is the section whish is hitting under the bonnet:

I didnt think of yellow enamel, might be the way to go
