Ok I'v got the butterfly runner out, however when i take it in to get the top manifold made up will i need them to weld up the holes where the runner went? (view photos) Or do i put the runner back in minus the butterfly valves? Thanks for your help so far Josh.

is it just me or is this just going a tad to far??? I would source a M90 instead of trying to get the M112 to suit...... there is alot of work going on here to even make this fit......
just my 5cents but still an awsome build......

I reckon you could get the holes at each end tig welded up, but bare in mind there are some bushes in there so they will need to come out before it can be done.

M90's get pushed to their limits on modified 3.8's given the amount of head flow from DOHC BA motors, M112 is perfectly acceptable.

Grantad the M112 is from the 5.0 liter mustang Jim. But its not going to be any easier to suit the M90 to the BBM, its a tad smaller but the same mods will be needed to do it with the M90. I know you are referring to power output rather than ease of installation when saying a tad too far. But I think a tad too far is the fact that Smithy is going to put a factory BA turbo setup on this aswell. |

you only want it for low down boost anyway then the turbs will take over...... M90's have been adapted in the past on AU donks (bye bye aircon) the M90 runs out of puff but push that to the limit come to 3-3500rpm and it would be useless after that.... then hello turbs lets do ya thing!!!

If people have done this before and have placed it where the aircon is, what manifold have they used? Smithy I think with this setup you are working on you will need an extra idler pulley. Bare with me Ill see if I can find a diagram. Josh |

why not tap that hole on the top half of the BBM and screw in a grub screw with a bit of loctite or hydraulic sealant on it. Then if you don't want to see the grub screw you could fill in the head with a bit of metl mend. By the way I love this thread the work you've put into this thing is incredible.
GO FRANKEN-FALCON. |

Ok Smithy,
Bare in mind this is not to scale.... This is kind of what the belt setup will look like. My concern is there might not be enough belt contact on the aircon. This setup will ensure you get good belt contact on both aircon and M112. Cheers |

That is possible mate, But I would not trust loctite holding a grub screw in there with the presure in the manifold once the charger is running. Get it TIG welded, but the gasket face will need a few thou taken off to make sure its still parallel after its done |

Cheers i'd concentrate on getting as much wrap on the blower pulley as possible, with the 6rib belt you are going to need it. over 180deg wrap is what you want. so is this going to be twincharged, or just the M112?

So basically he needs the idler in my mspaint pic to be higher to give that extra contact. |
