Thanks for the pic josh, When the time comes i could easily mount a bracket with an extra idlea pulley off the timing chain cover (view pic).

i think being a pd charger it will suffer belt slip at lower rpm??

like steady ed said you might need as much wrap around the blower pulley as possable..

something more like this..??

I think you might be onto something there Troy, because in reality the M112 pulley will be higher up than how I placed it in the pic.

you only want it for low down boost anyway then the turbs will take over...... M90's have been adapted in the past on AU donks (bye bye aircon) the M90 runs out of puff but push that to the limit come to 3-3500rpm and it would be useless after that.... then hello turbs lets do ya thing!!!

If people have done this before and have placed it where the aircon is, what manifold have they used?

Smithy I think with this setup you are working on you will need an extra idler pulley. Bare with me Ill see if I can find a diagram.

Josh

The standard one on the car.... This was done some time ago and I think the thread is on here somewhere but it was done with a M90

Don't forget to take into account the location of the top radiator hose when working out pulley and belt placement.

Cheers

Hey Smithy;

Been thinking of other ways to do this.

Image

If you the cut BBM on the line or there abouts, then make a box that suits the M112 and have it welded to the runners.

Just a thought.

It probably would be the eaziest and cheapist way to do it that way josh. How thick would you recomend the box 2 be? And if I was to make a custom box what dimensions should i be looking at?

I would say 8mm or 10mm alloy would be fine mate. Again dimensions depend on the size of the m112 and the runners as well as the position of the pulley. I cant give you exact figures without having it all in front of me.

You may need to take it all to a engineering workshop and get them to do some dimensioning for you

Here is a page that explains how to install one of these to a V8 but at least it gives an idea on what is involved in installing it.

http://www.lextreme.com/Supercharged-Lexus.html

The bloody thing is massive LOL

did a little search and came up with this thread....

ford-turbo-supercharger-f22/m90-on-i6-install-updates-t66258.html?hilit=m90

might be worth reading perhaps???? Knew I'd seen it somewhere....

IT IS HERE.... I couldnt wait to get in the door to take these pics. Will be organising someone to make me up a plenum for this thing to bolt on to hopefully with in a week. Will also be doing some measurements tonight (might be a late one 8-) ). This thing weighs a tone and its massive. Only paid $700au including frieght from the US to here, hopefully I can have the supercharger working under a budget of $1500 (thats my goal any way). More updates on the way. Also thanks for the links to those threads AU99 and Josh, that M112 on that v8 made for an interesting read, Also with frankieh's thread iv been following his story with the m90 on the EL, thats where I got my inspiration from to actually have a go at it. Any ways heres some shots of it. :D
