Sold the EFI stuff in favour of fitting a 2nd LPG tank and gas research instead.
I just need an adapter to fit the throttle body to the carby manifold then its off to the gas joint to have the 2nd tank fitted and everything plumbed up. Got some new HID converted lightforce 240's they work a treat. Cant wait til the car runs again to test them out properly.

Twin tanks and gas research done. Tune done, new engine mounts fitted, icom ic400 UHF + antenna fitted, carpet has been pressure washed, new winch hook to suit the rope fitted and a bigger battery has been fitted for winching and starting. I also got some new Mickey Thompson radial claws in 35's. They are s**t off road unfortunately. Im gonna sell them as soon as I get another set of tyres.
 A mate got defected for having his spotties sitting above his bonnet and he had to get a full rwc done so I took mine off and sold them. cbf with hassles like that anymore. New look is a little bit less attention grabbing.There is an intercooler hiding behind grill now, just waiting on a turbo and manifold from snort to arrive in the mail.

Its a t04e from snort. One of the twin internally gated ones. Its a little smaller than an xr6t turbo.
Should hopefully spool pretty early and give me enough air to make 250rwkw once i upgrade a whole bunch of other stuff. I just want it on and running for the moment though. 3 psi would be enough  Being able to overtake at 100k's on hills is the goal. |

Nice work, it looks like its having quite a life, 4x4ing is great fun. I have a Pajero shorty with 5 inch lift and 33's, and i'm about to do a SR20DET conversion.
More mud pics if you have, you have alot of flex in the suspension too, very nice,.

I wont have any more mud pics for a while. Everything is dry as and all the local forests have burnt down over the last 2 weeks in bushfires.

How is the front drivers side chassis rail where the steering box mounts????
Here is a repair I did a couple of years ago, and it had a genuine brace on it, as well as a bodgy repair. This one was cracked at the engine mount bracket too. I had to unpick the panard rod mounting and the engine mounting off the chassis. The chassis was nearly broken all the way round. Mine is fine. A mates has started to crack though.
My turbo and manifold are ready to be sent out  I scored a dual port blow off valve cheap on ebay too.Im moving this weekend but hopefully I can get into it over the next few weeks. |

Yep, its a bit like that.
Ive had a 351 powered XF, 2 turbo E series and an 11 second turbo AU and the mav is the only thing that I havent considered selling. Despite handling like a boat on the road and having no where near enough power its just fun to own. |

Got my turbo and manifold in the mail yesterday.
Bought all the oil and water lines and fittings this morning. Need to drop the sump to weld on a fitting but other than that should be right to bolt up the kit and start on cooler piping. Im in the middle of moving though so it might take a few weeks. I ordered a crane ignition kit too along with a high output coil and fancy leads. The crane cranks up the spark and allows for boost retard.

I made a start on this the other night.
I fitted up the turbo and manifold, then undid all the sump bolts but it wouldnt come off so I got over it. Ill give it another crack tonight. Hopefully I can get the drainback fitting welded on this week so I can make a start on the cooler piping and dump pipe this weekend.  The patrol motor has a handy oil feed on the turbo side of the block. Im not sure what Nissan was thinking when they put it there because it was just blocked off with a bolt not doing anything.
