Mmmmm, unfortunately some times big engines have big problems, after fitting the 351C - 4V back in after running it in on a dyno to try to avoid any teething problems - KABOOM!!!
OK couldn't resist a shot of the finish after paint.

well maybe two shots

And the engine going in! Got 396 hp with bodgey distributor (as I realised later)

A quick tune after adding a 830 annular discharge holley and BOOOM :!: :!: resulting in thes great pics! NOT

note the hole in sump, mangled bits including thrust washer from cam and a severely straightened big end, courtesy of failed rod-bolts (milidon)

Have been buying a few little bits 'n' pieces, door trim clips, grille clips, door trim gaskets, scuff plates all the fiddly bits you need as you've lost them all! couldn't resist this little one for the console :D

Will pick up donor 351 soon, then the fun begins - it's only getting a freshen up but with my 4V heads and a camtech cam, should be nice!

When I built the Clevo up my mechanic said that with a big block in it I'd have to undo engine mounts one at a time and jack up engine to change plugs! so I stated with the Clevo!

I believe there are ways around this problem.......

Yes especially nowadays with the RRS gear just go struts and then the shock tower removal kit and hey presto! No the b**ch didn't pay a cent! As for the engine that is part of the reason it's been so long I only this week through out that sump full of shrapnel after 15 odd years!

Any update on a forthcoming donk for the old girl everytime I read this threadf it reminds me of when I was in highschool, not good times, but a bloke had a white zd with a shaker, sadly he wrote it off I found out after , he had an xw then.

Shame to hear it got destroyed.

but then again that's one of the problems with working in wrecking yards, watching all those hours get crushed. anyway I'm glad you've held onto it this long and hope to see her cruising one day. 8-)

soonnner preferable, but love takes time
