c'mon guys. old 15s are s**t and outdated. This isn't a discussion about 15s.

I would change wheels if I wasn't going for the stock, grandpa look

The EA was converted to manual today. Not without a few hiccups. The 3 speed torque converter DID NOT wanna come out. And the rear trans mount I have is completely wrong.

the EA, being a early Series 1 had a banana shaped mount for the manual. The conversion come out of a EB. But I have a mount lined up, so all is good

So much for keeping the daily "stock" lol. I know it hasn't cost much in $$$, but it's time. I know, I'm not one to talk lol. I can't keep a car stock either!

You just gotta admit it!

Cheers

I said in the first post that I was doing stuff. manual was due to the dirty old 3 speed s**t itself. And exhaust for towing, lol. Yes, "towing"

Yes, you did, but ages before that, when you first bought the laser for a new daily, before the ea ghia come along, you were going to keep a daily stock lol.

I'll let you have the manual argument, because the auto was stuffed, and the exhaust, well that too because you already have it in the shed, and it will make sense, it will help economy & power, which is good for towing.

Cheers

yes lol. With the diff, i'll see what it's like once it's registered and I drive it daily. It may not be too bad

It should be fine :)

so have you driven it yet manual ? the diff ratio dw about it just jump straight to 3.08 from any EB-EL if you must change ratios but i would leave it 2.77s much better improvement over the 3 speed hydro operated FTL

Looks nice the only problem is its a EA if only it were like a EB2 that would be awesome but we cant all be that lucky in life

So how rare was the rear box mount ?
