Dropping around to Waverly Exhaust and Brakes this afternoon to sort out getting a tip put on the exhaust. Other then a good polish and clean and also fixing the CD player, the XR is looking all ready for the trip up to Eastern Creek for AFD!

After chatting with Colin from Waverly Exhaust and Brakes, we decided to go for a single 3" Dump tip. Which is the same as TyLeR3397's on his XR6, we tried a few dual's and they did look good but we tried a rear ticky bar ( as the plan is to get it a kit on it! ) and it just looked to squashed and I didn't really like the look. It's getting installed this arvo all ready for the small meet tonight!

It's actually 3.5 or 4 inch
I went and got a 3 inch tip for my ghia, put it on and went "hey this is smaller"Good choice though

Turns out the guys will need longer with the car, will need to cut the exhaust from the Varex so that they can fit the tip straight... Aaaahhhh...

Yeah I wanted a dump tip on mine when I got the exhaust fixed but there was too much stuffing around and they had other cars to do so I just got a random chrome tip :/
Dump tips look the best reckon!

Had a bit of a muck around with my air intake piping today, made a nice one out of intercooler piping. Was real happy with my effort until I tried to fit it... Didn't even realize that the stock piping doesn't come straight out of the Airbox, it comes out and slightly turns back in on itself, where as mine came straight out and didn't join with the upper half of the original intake. Bummer! I did try earlier in the day hitting up a few wreakers for a territory or BA XR intake but no luck where all pillaged long ago!

i might be able to get the plastic part from a BA next time im in hallam (should be tomorrow) just not sure if the rubber flexy hose part is still on.
