Check the list again micky, I am not using a factory rod.
Also CHP wont ship direct, they want you to go through their Australian Distributor (VPW)

Bummer CHP wont deal direct but VPW do great pricing as well

The point of using the standard rods with prep work that it would yeild more hp rating of 650hp apposed to the 500hp i beam rod ur using hence why i said so go H beam with a little extra cash or save urself a little with using the factory 351 rod.

Those Trickflow heads certainly are light Brett.
Only got $14.60 for them at the Scrapyard.
The price for alloy today was high as well................................

Well a small blow out setback to all plans. Stupid Americans and their backward dates. Checked the Summit website and was thinking my pistons should be there and why havent they shipped them, turns out it wasnt the 4/2/2010 they are expected, but instead the 2/4/2010. Talk about Piss me off

TRW-L2446F PISTON Expected Arrival on
4/2/2010 $41.95 8 $335.60

Fortunately i paid form them already as the dollar has dropped and they would be worth a s**t load more now if that was the case.

Brett, I was reading a bit more the other day on the F series American forum and it might be that that block was an interim build one? I mean by that, it could be that the block was cast before they went the full run in 1994. It seems that from what I have read this can happen sometimes as the intro date for the was not a fixed point in 1994. The block could have been a crossover?

I am trying to find out some more info for you. :D

Thanks george, I appreciate it.. At this stage all parts brought have fitted without any hassles, but it would be good to know when it was built for engineering/rego purposes.

Well another set back. The pistons have now blown out until the 30/4 and the cam is also going to take a little longer, 30/3.

As it stands, all parts have now been ordered, am just awaiting their arrival. Then off to the machinist to get the bottom end balanced, assemble the heads and put it all together. Its slow, but it is getting there.

Brett

Perfect excuse to upgrade hahaha

Whats even worse is some machinests will take forever to do machine work as they put there bread and butter work infront and ur work gets put behind, so make sure they dont do that 2 u.

Have u considered running and single turbo setup at all???

After this im not so sure if i like nitrous setups anymore as u have 2 keep on top of it 24/7
