Not sure yet, it comes in at 15 inches tall from the base at the valley to the top of the plenum. With my current modified bonnet i am hoping that all will be well.
I will measure the RPM11 that EVL has and add 2 inches for the spacer and NOS kit i had on the old motor and compare from there.

Well, EVL got back to me, and the total for what i had before ona 5.0 is 13inches. This may psoe a problem, I had about 5 inches clearance with the bulge fitted on the 5.0, but the 5.8 is taller.
If anone has the dimensions from a 5.8n with the EFI timing cover fitted it would be appreciated. WHat i am getting at here is that the 5.0 timing cover sits almost flat with the bottom of the valley, and i believe there is a 1 1/2-2 inch difference in the 5.8's. So it might be a little tight for height. We will see. Brett

I can check the height difference on my brothers 351 Windsor over the weekend sometime.
It wont be exact as his is carb but we should get a bit of an idea on the difference in th eblock height.

I just found this thread yesterday. I was wondering how you were going with this conversion.
I took a pic for you. From the top of the timing cover to the top of the valley where the inlet manifold meets up is 45mm. Attachment: 351windsor 007 [1024x768].jpg And a s**t pic of the 5.0. 25mm Attachment: 351windsor 012 [1024x768].jpg

That makes a total of 5 inches difference in height. Will be interesting to see how it goes, but i am now confident that it will fit height wise.
Pistons are due at Summit this Monday, so should be posted Tuesday and be here within 10 days from there. I have organised a machine shop to do the balancing, and mod the flex plate, then its just put it all together and tune it. Wont be long now. Its not the 427, but it will show me if i can actually fit a 427 in there. Brett

Trickflow all the way. Yes i am still using my BTR. My converter is off being repaired and raised to 3500rpm stall. I may even send the box in for a repair, not so sure yet. Only time will tell now

I heard from Summit today TRW have advised that the pistons are now not available until June. 6 months for a set of stock bore forgies. They have a set of Keith Black forgies in stock, but i need to see if they will do the job. Updates to follow soon i hope.
The Manifold is now at Performance Metalcraft as the fitting for the heater hoses is no longer available, and they will be making me one. Should be a pretty trick bit of gear. Not much else to say, but its getting there. I really need those pistons, so the rotating assembly can be balanced and then the motor can be assembled. Brett
