Wow that sucks.
As you say surely a fairly mundane order shouldn't be hard to fulfil.

Sucks when u have to wait for parts, have u thought of going bigger piston and spend the extra money???
Have u considered using an AOD or 4R70W trans??? 3spd with Overdrive and lockup converter is awsome and works really well as my bro has a 1JZ box and does the same thing with overdrive and lockup.

Only time will tell now Brett Hey Brett - would my old BTR be of any use to you? Not sure if you need an exchange box or if you'd prefer an AU unit for any particular reason.

Well, summit have offered me a change of pistons, as the TRW's will not be available until June, so i am getting these instead...........http://www.summitracing.com/parts/UEM-9924-STD/
They will give me a little more compression, so should be all sweet. And they will be shipped this Monday. Let the fun begin. Brett

The last order from summit has been dispatched. I now have some Pistons, unfortunately they are cast not forged, but so be it. When the rods arrived, the rotating assembly will be sent off for balancing and then it can finally go together. Getting there slowly.
I will endeavour to get pics of the engine build as it happens. Updates to follow withing the next week i anticipate. Brett

You're not going to throw nitrous down the throat are you?? If not then it doesn't matter. Good cast pistons should take 10-15 psi of boost, as long as the tune is good........ Glad things are moving along, give us a yell if you need anything made..... Cheers Daz

Stock cast pistons can take small amounts of NOS as well, Like 75-150 without much problem, as has been proven by me previously. Again it comes down to the tune, same as boost.

Well, a little update,
The block has been painted, and the valves turned up, as well as the rods, unfortunately there is still another 2-3 weeks for the pistons, so here are some dummy pics of the trial assembled 351. The valves have not been fitted to the heads as i need some shims for the springs, but it is getting there slolwy Call them teasers if you will Cheers Brett You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
