Small update.

The motor was removed yesterday, and the box and converter were attached. The motor was then reinserted into the car as a complete motor/box combo. Big thanks go out to SWC, Yobboford and EVL098 for the assistance. I could not have done it without you guys.

No pics as it still looks the same as last weekend
Brett

""The first cut is the deepest""

Few pics of dummy bonnet fitted. Not as bad as we first thought, only have a 70mm protrustion to deal with. Now the idea's game begins. Still need to deal with the intake side!!

you forget that there is still a massive great 90mm Throttle body as well as a spacer block to fit to the side of this monster yet. This makes it a wide scoop. All those have been done to death, think outside the square.

Make the centre of the bonnet higher, use the existing bonnet lines, and just lift it up.
would make ya look twice thats for sure.

As silly as it sound safter seeing the "tower of power" there in all its glory Im thinking just paint the box the same Navy blue as the car and brush the alloy so its matt finish and just put a nice edging around the hole and let it all hang free and run the gauntlet.
From a distance it will blend in to the bonnet.

Pity the po won't like it sticking out, otherwise I would leave it out to show

I love watching this for ideas and clearance issues

what ever scoop you make is going to have to go nearly the entire width of the bonnet at the windscreen, that intake piping will extend a fair way out, and would look best if kept symetrical.

The gauge pod can be incorporated into the back edge of the scoop too, which would make it look pretty clean. you wouldnt know they were there looking at the car front on...

the only idea i have is, VL walking for sure
