Yes it is. Bout 5mm at the closest point.(Chassis rail on the passengers side.)
To give you an idea, to fit them they have to come up from underneath, the sway bar needs to be dropped and the starter removed or they will not fit into the bay. One thing i didnt consider, that Dazz pointed out, was how big the radius of a bend actually is. Compared to a 1 3/4 they seem enormous. And to think at one stage i was going to go with 2 in primaries LOLOL Brett

I tweaked the 2 lower pipes on the passenger side as they were running down to far on the p1$$. Cant wait to hear this motor roar into life...... Cheers Daz

Well i did a bit of research and discovered the following.
Based on the primary pipe size i have used, i should make max torque about 3800rpm, just a little bigger than my converter so it should launch well. My primary lenght can vary as much as 7 inches with little affect on overall performance (bonus as there is 6 inches between the shortest and the longest) and with a maximum rpm ceiling of 6500 rpm the theoretical best length for the primary is 29 inches, and mine are 28. So without looking it up first, it seems we are on the money with our Ikea exhaust. Big thanks to Daz for the welding and Paul for haveing the car at his joint for so bloody long. Brett

Brett Couldn't have planned it any better if you tried (at all). So what have you done to the back end to hold this beast together? I recall you broke axles years ago. I ask as I've had to do some drive line strengthening of late. (new diff + truetrac a few months ago, new 1000hp capable drive shafts to be installed).

OK
Heads are 225 runners, 2.08 intake and 1.6 exhaust. 61cc chambers Bore 4 in stroke 3.5in Comp ratio is a lazy 9.48:1, couldnt be helped unfortunately Max RPM 6500 You should have the cam specs there in the comp book. Its a xe282hr for the 5.0 roller block Any thing else. As to the diff, well its an open centre 3.08 Au atm , and i need a new shaft, but that has to wait until the car gets the pinion angle sorted due to the change to an AU Diff. Hope that helps. I am e

A little bit more of an update.
The pipes recieved final welding and were trial fitted yesterday morning. They look smick to say the least. I can not express my appreciation enough to Daz for the sexual work that is my headers. Here are some pics. They will be going for ceramic coating within the next week. Then fitted and the car will be towed to Sureflow Exhaust for final exhaust fitment. Its getting real close now. Brett You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

If i get to do another set, then they will be slightly different, but will work as well. They are big pipes, and no way would 2 inch fit in an E Series engine bay, without inner guard modification. They should look even more awesome once coated..... Cheers Daz
