Well, i have been playing and need to update this.

To date she has run a 13.5 @118 at WSID. This is on street tyres and witha 3.08 diff and T5 manual. The manual is starting to show signs of not being happy. These things happen with 4000rpm launches and a lokkar diff. The lokkar will be removed soon and replaced with a set of 3.7 LSD's. This should help things along. It has still not been run on the NOS but will in the very near future, as all teh wiring is now sorted.

I have a question for the wiring gurus out there. Since converting to manual, i have a redundant light in the dash, namely the power/econ light. I was thinking of wiring it in to the NOS so when it is activated it says power. I have a template to replace the econ light so that is no issue. Would it be possible to use the wiring for th eold PWR/ECON switch to activate this, or should i just run new wires straight to the globe. It may seem ricey to some, but i think it is something different, and the Terrorist could hardly be called a ricer.

I have also ordered some of these
http://www.cjponyparts.com/VALVE-COVERS ... RD/p/VC55/

Am awaiting their arrival.

So shortly i will have some polished ford racing rocer covers for sale, looking at 100 plus postage for them, they have done less than 1200k's and a truly like new. More updates to follow.

Cheers
Brett

There would be no reason that you can't use the dash indicator for that Brett, I know tha Benj uses his to indicate when he is on LPG. You could even put a different coloured LED Globe there so that it lights up different, ie green or yellow.

By the way, don't make up a power template use "CHEAT" :D

LOL love the idea of "CHEAT", how about "CHEAT$$" as that cheat cost you every time you see the light on, the "CHEAT" could still used when it gets boosted, just use a switch off something like a TX3.

That wiring is pretty simple Brett. make it a blue light and read N2O of course. Subtle is where it's at. lol

Yeah it could be done but I dunno what ANDRA would have to say.
I believe a N2O indicator light has to be blue.
Maybe hook it up in parallel so both run at the same time.
I sent you a text message too.

Been a while since i updated stuff, so here we go.

This year my focus has shifted from straight line to corners and stuff, so with the help of Sam12H, i have entered the NSW Hillclimb championship. After a very sideways and eventful weekend in Canberra i came dead last. Thats ok, cause a few little things were made apparent, IE i need better tyres if i want to be competitive, and i also need some more time with the car control.

I didnt so much as Hill Climbs as i Hill drifted.

Any way here are some pics from the weekend

There you go Brettski..

Looks good. Told you about those tyres. Time for some KU36's good sport tyre, soft enough for the track and you will get away with using them on the road too as they are DOT legal.

The SDMA hillclimb circuit is slippery even at the best of times. I run semis there, and still have armfuls of traction problems.

Yeah I know what you are saing, I recon the KU36's are an awesome compromise tyre, or even the Nitto Invo's.

Unfortunatly Brett, Blue Streak are not a very good tyre. The Kuhmo's and Nittos are gonna get your ET's down over the Blue Streaks any day of the week. Bell even the little probe could chirp blue streaks! You know the fury that car has!

Get it to turn without sliding, black rubber si your next port of call. Get with the program man.

So now Brett's into proper tracks (ones with corners), do I smell a FM Eastern Creek day coming up? Been a while since I've been there in anger. Will be there for PoweCruise March 1-4.

You're not wrong there, I think I've had more traction on the wet skidpan. It was loads of fun though.

Kind of my fault Dave. I had to change class at the last minute and while Brett was helping we kind of ran out of time to get more appropriate tyres (we also underestimated the freedoms allowed in the road registered class, they're far more liberal than we anticipated).
I'm actually looking at getting some Federal RSRs, for all the same reasons that you like the KU36, plus the fact that the RSR is on the CAMS approved production tyre list, so I can also use them in sprints on either the silver or red car (when it's done). I've never used either, but some Google investigation says the RSR works better from stone cold too (which the fronts are for almost all of the run) because they're a bit softer (140 vs 180 treadwear I believe).
