Yes, RPMII was run on the stock bonnet. The TPS just touched the underside of the insulation on the Fairmont bonnet, and it also touched on the last rib on the drivers side. It didt rub so i wasnt overly concerned. You looking at one of these Jeff. If so very well worth the money spent.
Brett

Sweet, i wonder how it will go on the underside of the XH bonnet.
Yeah i have the oppurtunity to pick a brand new one up fairly cheap with 1/2" spacer aswell, just waiting on a response from the bloke.

I wonder if those vacuum fittings can be drilled and tapped into the rear (actual front) of the upper to make it look abit neater.

Jeff

Or you could run them off the neck, as i have done, it does tidy them up.I am running the Fuel pressure feed from here and the feed for the heater controls. The 2 at the front are for soemthing to do with emmissions and one supplies the EMS with a pressure signal, so it would be possible to clean them up a bit. You may not have the same issues as me as yours is a manual and only has 1 TPS.

No worries, will see how i go if the bloke pulls through.
I wonder if i'll be able to run the 1/2" spacer too.
Cheers for that Brett,

Jeff

Well the fin ad games starts tomorrow. Of for custom exhausts. 1 7/8 primaries with 3.5 in collectors. That should relieve the exhaust rstriction problem

Okie doke guys and girls
The problem with no comp has been diagnosed as a destroyed valve in the no8 cylinder.
See attached for pics. Head goes off for repairs this week, then fit the exhaust and retune. Hope to have it all back together within the next 2 weeks

looking at the valves, they seem to be up in to the seats, better check all the valves for thickness and seat retention, clean the seats as well, any sharp edges in the compression chambers.its picked the weakest valve so far, check the other one.

When is next drag day. I would look at towing it then run it and tow it home. It would be cheaper to tow it behind the ED than drive it by itself LOL

At least you wouldn't break it on the way down.

AFAIK Street Fords (mag) has a drag day at Heathcote on the 13th Sept.
