Good to see you tearing up some hills Brett.
I'll look to entering the NSW series next year, this year I'm running 2nd in class (and usually top10 overall) in the ACT series - all at Fairbairn Park.

Looks good in action Brett!
I like the look of your front rotors/callipers, had a quick glance back a few pages couldn't see any info on them, did you get them made up or are they a kit? James |

Thanks for the pics Sam.
Was a tops weekend. We left Sydney late friday afternoon and got stuck in a little traffic as we headed north. The big girl ran nicely with no signs of playing up. Just before we left i finally fitted a hotter thermostat, only to discover i never fitted one in the first place. SHe warmed up to 92deg and stayed there for the trip. This helped economy and i managed to get to Taree before needing fuel. We overnighted at Nambucca heads and upon awaking onSaturday morning discovered that the front toe setting had destroyed my road tyres, so a little play and a stop at Coffs for some fresh rubber and all was well for T2 racing. Arriving at the venue Staturday morning and we were scrutineered and up and racing in no time. The team that hosted the event were very cool, and practice went well. My first run was screaming and screaching from the front end due to the cheap as road tyres, but it fell strong and predictable. Into the pits and i swapped the fronts for the rears and tried some 18in dunlops Sam had kindly brought along. Of note was the fact it was a beautifula sunny day and the track had some heat in it. Next run out was a better time of 61 soomething and the marshals were confused as to why i wasnt under a minute. The day ended and we packed up and headed to our motel. Before this we changed our tyres for some that were more road legal, for me meaning i had the federals all round. Cruising to the hotel on 91 and it was running sweet. A little trip up the highway to Yamba for dinner and the tank was almost empty. On the return to Grafton i let Sam drive and he commented on how much better it seemed from the last time( i had a stuffed dizzy and it left us straned last time Sam drove it). Up at the crack of dawn and the trip comp is showing less than 40k's to empty, which was perforct for the purpose of changing fuels for race day. We took the back roads into the track, and to say the old girl got up and boogied is an understatement. The only real issue was a few Skippies deciding they wanted a closer look at the Terrorist whilst cruising at 100 odd kph. Glad i have my big brakes and best tyres on for that. We arrive at the event, and as we had practiced the day before did not need to be rescrutineered. Attend the drivers briefing and away we go. Points to note on the second day was that it was overcast and the track clearly lacked grip, as my first 2 runs had me fall of the road twice, yet both runs were quicker than practice. I finally managed to put a smoot lap together and we re under a minute, with a 59.17. I was feeling good. By comparision Sam had run a 58.13 and a 58.11 whilst missing thrid gear. My last run was not very spectacular, and one of the older ford guys had told me that slow is smooth, and smooth is fast, so thats what i did. This got me my 58.13, but Sam again improved to a 58.01, beating me to a trophy for for third place. We hung around for the presentation, and i bumped into some more old school firends. Big thanks to Aran and Old Bill for coming out to watch and Sya hi, and To both the Scotts, Cooper for sponsoring the event, and Gregor for dropping in to have a look. So we pack up and begin the long trip south. At this time it has started to rain, and visibility is severly reduced. I filled up on the outskirts of Grafton and we make it safely to Kempsey for our overnight stop. Awaking early again and we hit the road, with Sam needing fuel at Bulledellah, whist i had calculate di could make newcastle, and benefit from the savings of E85. Slipped into Hamilton in Newcastle with the trip computer showing 9km to empty, and achieved a remarkable 475k's from the tank of 91. Filled it up and she took an astounding 70.26l, not bad for a 68l tank. Any way had lunch and a leasurly cruise to home for an eventfull motorsport filled weekend. The most dangerous thing we did all weekend was drive the 700odd k's home in the torrential ran with standing water threatening to take both cars to either side of the road unexpectedly. Cheers Brett

Matt, they are not from and XD, but in actual fact from the 351 Cobra R Mustang, and were sourced from CJ Pony Parts in the states for less than 1/10 of the prices i have seen them on Ebay.
James, the brake kit is the only 4 spot kit developed by CMS here in Sydney, and required some other additions. I changed my rims to AU offset, and even went to the effort to fit an AU live axle diff so that they are the same offsett front to rear. They are 329mm rotors with 4piston Skyling GTR calipers, and do work fabulessly. I have also changed the master Cylinder and brake booster to AU Spec, mostly because it is steel and wont crack due to the engine bay temps. Contact Joe at CMS for full info on Sydney 0296006229. Cheers Brett
