I didnt realise that I didnt have a build thread on here for the BA... so here goes....
Found this on Evilbay in August 2009 and decided as I had sold the old AU TPak I had to drive something so bought this 2003 BA Egas and drove it home to Adelaide (on a permit of course)......  It had been fitted at some stage in its life with Futura Seats and had an XR speedo....   So after driving back to Adelaide first thing was to get it registered so I could at least drive it   Managed to score some tail lights of a mate for nothing as he replace his with LED ones.....  I scored well when a freind upgraded his XR with Duel zone Air and gave me his old ICC, Thought I would give the whole lot a new coat of paint while I was pulling bits apart.....  Added the spoiler I had in the shed and went about colour coding the door strips etc  I had added a XR leather steering wheel and done a few bit & bobs like adding cruise control but the biggest mod has to be adding the XR Headlights and the BFGT front bar......   Lots more to go but its getting there slowly......

Now to just find some more cheap XR bits to throw on the car... LOL
But will be a while yet as I have bills coming out the wazoo of late  I have been pretty fortunate tho so far.... And to think the misses said "you arent spending any money on this car like the last one".... LOL

Its been a while since I have done an update... so here goes....
Put in a new Radiator as my old one decided it would start leaking, replaced my alternator with a brand new one as the price was too dam good to pass up. Spoilt myself by getting a Aux cable so I can play MP3's on the factory radio.... Scored some proper BA XR rims, gave the old ones to my son for his AU.... And a friend decided to put on a GT kit onto his XR6 so bought his Skirts and rear bar.....

That was due to the radiator getting a slight leak allowing the convertor to freeze up. I have done 30,000 kays this year (been back to Melbourne twice), and hasnt missed a beat. Had a slight oil leak when I got it, but that was the oil sender so nothing major.... I have been on a few hills cruises and apart from a slight lack of power (156kw vs 182kw ULP Model) it kept right behind a XR6 that was sqeeling the corners if you get my drift.... I have XR suspension in mine and the ride hight for an Egas causes nose bleeds (although still handles better than my lowered AU I did have). As a daily driver its a good cheap car to run ($35 per 500kays) and parts are cheap enough... My kids first cars are Xcabs as well, My sons 99 AU falcon cost me a $1000, It was initially bought for the youngest but it went just a little too well, so gave the youngest the EL Falcon the older lad was driving (He didnt complain).....

I might also add that the BA is number 7 in the long list of Xcabs I have had...
The list includes XD Falcon (That was Yellow too) EA Falcon (made that look like a S Pack) 2x EL Falcons (1st was a Vic, 2nd was a SA) 2x AU Falcons (1st was a NSW, 2nd was a Vic) Vic Car Scored win in SA AFD 2009 in Class 41a and the BA..... I like the Vic cars for several reasons... Its not a bad drive (do it in a day) VicRoads is piss easy to deal with (Can call, organise a permit and have it emailed or faxed to me) and the cars are cheap....

Dyno run on the stock mechanicals done on the Fordmods Dyno day yesturday....

looking good mate!, you dont know where your mate got the GT bar from? Also you considering spraying the whole thing as it looks like your newer bits are lighter than the rest of the car or is that just the photos?

He got it through work, think it came off a car that was being wrecked (he works in a wreckers) and he snagged it for his car. It did have some damage that required some fiberglassing on my part when I got it....
Yes the car will be painted soon as the mismatch in colours is quite annoying... He landed up fitting a full F6 kit to his car so I bought the XR bits of his car that he had left...
