more than happy with the power output, i still think 270rwkw is a bit optimistic, but yea if it can get 270 that would deffinatly be epic...
now i need to find a driveline that can handle the power without emptying the bank account

i think its called T56 8-) with a mal wood clutch 8-)

and yes it will probably break the bank!

and is why i have held off boosting beyond 8-9psi, about $1600-$2000 for a decent clutch kit (plus labour)
although 275rwkw has kept me happy for over a year now... i think its time to bite the bullet!

Looking good Troy.
270 would be phenominal figure.
How much torque is it putting out?
Have you got any photos of the front mount? Did you end up getting a new bumper?

couldnt get a decent torque figure because of the clutch slipping, but it did peak around 800nm on a few tuning runs..

still waiting on the front bar project..
here is a front pic as it is now...

looking sensational Troy. I just hope you don't rear end anyone with a tow bar anytime soon.

yep! in 3rd or 4th if i floor it at about 3500rpm it sounds like its got a stally and revs up and slips all the way to red line,
general driving and down low its ok,
and to be honest there is not many ocassions where it does get a boot full in 3rd or 4th due to speed limits and traffic, its just no good for dyno runs or drag racing..

due to my s**t clutch ive been doing some research into clutches, boxes ect..
there are actually a few options available...
i was considering going to btr auto but i would have to re wire half the car as all the auto part of the factory loom has been raped and used for wideband o2,ems injector and coil outputs..

there is the option of a c4, th400 or power glide but i still want an overdrive..
i had considered the t56 6 speed but its a bit high in the price range..

so at the moment im opting to go for a billet xr6t flywheel and a custom 10.5" h/d xr6t pressure plate with a 10.5" au xr8 clutch plate, from npc clutches in qld..
this clutch is rated to 280rwkw
this way when the t5 dies and i use up my spare t5's i can still use a tko500 0r a t5z without having to change the clutch again..
so more updates comming soon!!!!!

You could fit a TCM out of an earlier model falcon pretty easily if you went the BTR option.

yes, but there are a quite a few things that still need modifying for it to fit in the ed..
and a secong hand t56 is still quite expensive..

yep that has crossed my mind..ive been going over the wiring diagrams ect..
i cant see me liking it as an auto, ive change a few of my cars back to auto in the past and within a month i change them back to manual..
im thinking if i go auto im going to want to spend more and more getting it to go faster..
as btr's are pretty slow off the mark.. unless i stall it up every time i take off..
i can see things adding up pretty fast, i cant see a second hand btr lasting long, so it will need to be re built to start.. then im going to want a stally, then probably 3.77 or 3.9 diff ect...
and i do get tired of driving auto fast..lol..( yawn, boring)
yes i know an auto may be faster over the 1/4 but its only going to be taken out once or twice to see what its got..

so at the moment ive decided its going to stay manual ....
so far i have picked up another t5, 1 is an ed box plus my old ea box and the ef t5 thats in it.. now
so ive got a couple of desposable boxes to waste first ..
then ill go for a t5z...

Yeah, G-force make a kit that handles 600hp. http://www.jegs.com/p/G-Force-Transmiss ... 3/10002/-1

http://www.gforcetransmissions.com/tran_gt-5.asp

The T5Z boxes handle 450hp when not drag raced.
