so far so good.
the pedal is a bit stiffer and sits a bit higher than before but is still reasonable. i havent given it a real hard time yet but i did let it boost up in 3rd and it didnt slip, so thats a good thing..lol i have noticed there is a very slight shudder when its cold but im hoping its nothing to worry about yet, ive only done around 50km since it was fitted.. im hoping once the clutch surfaces have mated properly the shudder will go away??? i was going to book it in for a tune this week but i realised i need front tyres so the tune can wait a week or so.... |

Get it tuned, then you can truly enjoy the fruits of your labour....btw, Vince is waiting for the ph' call....lol The shudder is a bit strange. Mine never, after being installed...???....hmmm???? Prolly will go away. Here's an idea, drop the diff ratio down a smidge. Will launch then. 1 front wheel off the ground FTW.... Cheers mate Daz

Cheers mate Daz the clutch shudder is not there now.... anyway i went and seen vince rigoli today, he is a little busy this week working on other cars, mavericks ect, so i got to give him call next monday and see when he can tune it... |

The shudder must have been some kind of 'wearing in' period. Bit strange, but good that its all gone.

Cheers Sam running the ls1 coils is 1 coil per cyl, still set up similar to coil pack except the ls1 coils have inbuilt igniters so no need for an ignition module or tfi..where dizzy is 1 coil for 6 cyl.. the advantages are negligable, with individual coils there is less moving parts, no more dizzy caps, rotor buttons or tfi module.. i think power wise probably not really any noticable difference, except maybe a slightly stronger spark? unfortunatly in el unless you go aftermarket ecu and fit crank sensor there is no real way it can be done.. |
