today i spent a little time on setting up antilag launch control on the ecu..
it seems to be working so far, but if im not carefull i can see major engine destruction happening..lol

at the moment its set up so antilag is on above 2500rpm@ over 25% throttle under 6psi, so it basically sets a limiter that interupts fuel and ignition by intermitantly cutting fuel and retards timing to aid spool up..

the down side is if i dont watch the boost and dont release the clutch at the right time the engine will hit the 6psi setting, then antilag will switch off and it will hit the rev limiter on boost without load on the engine  ..
so i still got to add a % of extra fuel while its activated so it dont lean out to much..
might test it at wsid on friday night.. :)

anyway here is a short test clip in neutral....

I've always wondered how the anti-lag would go...seems to work pretty good. You wont need it when/if you go the kitted auto.......

Cheers

havent had a chance to test how it actually launches yet..
i have a feeling its just going to smoke the tyres..

yea i still got to get a hold of a few bits and pieces for the auto conversion, like a au auto bellhousing, a auto dipstick tube,ed gearbox loom, a huge trans cooler and the rest i have..

probably convert it to auto after the all ford day...

auto time...lol
i have now got 99.9% of the parts to start the auto refit..
just waiting on delivery of a huge a** trans cooler.. then out with the t5 and in with the btr..
i picked up a 2500rpm stall converter today from torque converter industries, i have also scored a anti limp home module from "racer"(thanks mate) incase the stall sends the ecu coocoo..lol
went to jaycar and picked up a potentia meter and a 18 ohm 10w resistor for a home made adjustable shift kit,.
i started on the factory ecu refit and ill re piggy back the ems as the ems was stand alone..
unfortunatly in my non wisdom i had previously used the auto solinoid wires from the ecu to engine bay for the extra injector outputs and o2 sensor, i thought it was a top idea as i didnt have to run extra wires into the engine bay..
well that has bit me on the a** as i need to re use those wires for the auto..

so this is how it sits at the moment, birds nest anyone??

is that the s3 and s4 solinoid trick??
im keen to give it a try but im not sure how harsh its going to be on normal cruising,

didnt you have one of your cars set up that way?

Dunnydoor S5 Solinoid. Adjustable. Trouble is you need to drop the pan to adjust.

Yeah I used it on my EB. It was the only thing that stopped it overheating. My trans still slipped using the generic switch kit everyone does.

Ground the S3 and S4 solinoids through a 27 ohm resistor from memory using a dual pole dual throw switch.

Its pretty harsh, I turned it off for normal driving.

I agree with that. That is what is fitted to my new box. Not bad at gentle to average throttle but you can feel it when you boot the b**ch.

I had that shift kit mod in my ef ( the one turbotorana mentioned )
U cut the s4 and s5 solenoid wires at the ecu and ground the ecu side using a resistor .
So I tricks the ecu to think there still there .

It was much harsher than my adjustable shift kit on full.
Down side was it isn't adjustable . But u could wire in a switch to toggle it on/off.

Got the resistors from jaycar for like $2
As dansedgli said 27 ohm resistor I think it is.

If you don't like it solder the wires back together .

finaly finished re wiring the factory ecu back in and now running the ems as piggyback.
received a 300x300 pwr trans cooler kit from ebay, should do the job nicely?..
the kit came with unerversal brackets so a bend here and a cut n weld there, and its all fitted up ready to go.
