i was reading in the start of the turbo build on the ed before and i think it says if you went auto btr again it would have to be built before youd even bother dropping it in,have you gotten a stock auto or are you going to tweak it up a bit apart from the shift kit?

right now its got a std box going into it with the s3 and s4 solinoids dissabled,
i have another box that is waiting to get built to suit, but im really getting over the whole thing so it may be close to the end for the ed...

I reckon the stock auto will be fine with that shift kit.

I got mine back in too. Just need to get more fluid tomorrow.

I cant piggy back my wolf though. It drives alright with the stock ECU but I cant get on boost or it runs lean. :(

When are you going to race it next? Im keen to see the difference.

why no piggyback??? wont the wolf share the factory sensor signals?
although doesnt the wolf have the ability to control the btr auto?

anyway it should be up and running tomorrow, i hope??
factory ecu is in with the ems as piggyback, anti lhm module is in so the high stall dont send the ecu into a spaz attack..lol. trans cooler and lines are in..
its just the actual box swap to do, fill it with fluid and pray that its all good!
there could be a small issue with the auto dipstick not fitting due to the dump pipe position? ill find out soon enough...lol.

so if all goes well i might take it out to wsid next wednesday...

The wolf I have is a plug in. Too much work to make it a piggy back.

I'd have to wire in another standard ECU plug or hack up the wire in loom.

Ill have to take it back to the tuner to get the auto running off the wolf. Ill do it when I can.

Good luck next week. Should smash a 12.

well its now an auto...
have a few bugs to iron out, the anti limp home module was making the box hold first gear to long and short shifing the rest?
after removing the module the box dont go into lhm anyway, so i dont need it...
it drives good and changes are ok cruising, but i think there is a problem.
the box flairs hard under any load on boost gear changes, keeping in mind i havnt added the shift kit yet...
otherwise when we opend the box up and it was clean in the pan and the fluid was nice so ill see how it goes after i fit the shift kit..
otherwise ill get another box built..

thanks guys,
after a bit of driving the box is starting to come good, considering the box has been sitting out of a car for over a year with next to no fluid in it..

the cruising changes are now perfect, the stall converter is pretty much dead on 2500rpm..the on boost gear changes are still very poor. ill do some shift kit mods tomorrow and see how we go..

anyway here is a vid of the car driving and rev flairing.. it actually flares less on full throttle then it does with half to 3/4 throttle ...
there is hope for the btr yet..lol

fitted up the regular type of shift kit that ups the s5 line pressure and the box is much much better, on full throttle it behaves like normal, so im thinking before i go and do the s3/s4 mod ill adjust the bands first..
lucky its a le91 it has the larger oil pump and still has external band adjustment. :D

Your lucky mate my problem came from the maf throwing out the load points and the trans would flare, lucky i was able to get the proper load points back stopping 90% of the flaring.

So wsid is looking bright in your future???.
