I saw a xr6 turbo blow something. Looked like gearbox as when he won the off street he reversed back down the pit. Also saw 'sl333d hit the wall on the main straight as well!

That brown thing was mental. Made it thru a couple of rounds.

Next year I'll go in!

That brown/reddish ute at the start of the vid sounds horrendous!

Your beast has got some serious nads. How many laps do they let you do at these Powercruise events?

Would love to have something like this where I live.

I decided to get under the car today for a bit of random maintanance to find it has cancer. :( , passenger side inner sill has rust...
it started out as what looked like a hole the size of a 5c piece..
a little disheartening but i continued on cuting it out, its now like this...

well i made up a fill plate for the rust section, its a nice fit i just got to grind the paint off the edges when i actually weld it in, which will be after powercruise. lets just hope no one looks under the sill..lol..

Image

picked up a mig welder yesterday, a jw ross 150amp gas and gasless mig to fix the rust in the inner sill..
had a bit of a practice on the shed awning, not to bad for the first time using gasless mig..

Image

gave the inner section a clean up and coated it with rust inhibitor, cleaned up the plate and gave it a go..
b**ch of a job laying under the car getting burnt by bits of slag, so much easier working on top of the job then under the job..lol..

anyway all fixed for now, just got to give it a coat of flat black and spay some fish oil into the inner to try coat the inside weld....

Nice work on the sill repair Troy! I should look at doing the same to a (what looks like) small bit of rust in my drivers sill in the Eb Ghia.

Cheers

mine started out as a rusty lump the size of a 5c piece, by the time it was all removed it grew a fair bit lol. so far its the only real rust ive found in the car..

as ive mentioned, there is a slight bulging on the otherside but no visible rust yet...
