That locker is very fun Troy.
I have a couple of dirty old Speedy Longchamp 17's in E series offset here. Rubber is f**k but.

well since fitting the locker i have noticed a huge amount of axle tramp when it breaks traction which is not so good...
the rear suspension has whiteline urathane bushess except the top arms are nolathane and are a touch sloppy... time to replace upper trailing arm bushes again.. |

In the GT-P I've found wheel speed is the solution to axle tramp (I've tried everything else).
So 3rd/4th gear burnouts. Hit the water/burnout pad, start off, pull 2nd, pull 3rd before rolling out onto the asphalt. Grab 4th and then back off rolling to the line.

picked up some superpro rear upper trailing arm bushes and watts link bush kit today..
the current upper arms are nolathane bushes that have alot of movement, pretty poor quality for bushes that were new 2 years ago considering the factory ones lasted 16 years.. the watts link are std original 18 year old rubber so its fair to say they are pretty s**t, just got to wait for better weather for fitting.. |

Pedders wanted $22 to press out old bush and my new bush in I supplied . If you hamner out the old bush you could use a dye grinder to cut out the old sleeve , C*** of a job.
Yeah pretty sure watts link are just rubber push in, may have a sleeve but not sure . Plenty of grease helps when pushing them in, I got all polyurethane bushes in my rear and havnt heard a sqeak yet .

i decided to removed and replaced the watts link bushes this afternoon, piece of cake...lol
i went a bit bogan/bush mechanic on the tools used. i used a long bolt and something larger in diameter than the bush ( in my case a thrust bearing carrier.lol) do up the nut to push the old bush out.. to re fit the new bushes i used a length of threaded rod with large washers ( in my case old tile cutting blades from my angle grinder) lol do the nut up slowly and the bush will pull through.. done... ill give the upper arms a go on the weekend.... |
