back yard panel beating..lol
put the trolley jack with a watts link arm under the radiator support with a medium force, then used the au sissor jack between the top radiator support and the vct unit on the head and wound it out about 50mm to gain 10mm.. better, but will never be perfect.. im going to try repair the xr headlight bracket, otherwise std eb stuff goes on. the bonnet will shut but is creased and dented, might get lucky and find a white one at pickn payless??. all the a/c s**t is damaged but is still working and holding gas so it can stay for now.. ill try solder the pin hole in the radiator but i may have to bin it and buy a new one.. bumper?? well it will be replaced with a after market fibreglass jobbie.. |

i would have written the f**k number plate down and told the cops, he would have looked like the idiot and possibly cop the blame since he drove off, then again these days with the way insurance is and being an old car maybe "the turbo ed" would have become a write off, in which case your better to shut your mouth go home and repair it yourself
good to see it can be fixed and no body would be seriously hurt.

i removed it from my NC because you jump on the brakes the front right locks up then your foot sinks and you roll to a stop. not what i call braking. so its gone. now it feels like driving on EF EL or AU without ABS.

And mine... I thought there was something wrong with it. ABS doesn't kick in much with the manual 'box in. |

Sorry to hear. ED Fslcon, ABS i reckon caused my accident in the ED Falcon. Rear ended someone as well. Not so fun on a greasy road without it though. When it was disabled due to faulty sensor, animal ran across princess hwy Sylvania, steep hill and was heading down it. All wheels locked up and ended up sliding diagonally to the road markings. Lucky was 2am and no one on the roads. All in all, still worth it i reckon. ABS is designed to be used so helps brake when loses traction and for the driver to steer to safety. Doesnt help steer away from rear ending someone close though |

well there is good news, the ed has spent the day in surgery and is going to pull through..lol..
most of the bent s**t has been straightend and has gone back into shape real well, i was able to repair the radiator, the thermo fan shaft had just punctured one vein on the core, a gas solder job fixed that.. once everything was straightened it all went back together with ease.. from a distance the bonnet looks ok but its pretty mongy..lol so i need to replace the bonnet, ill need a set of ef thermo fans as one has a bent shaft..i have a new bumper that just needs painting. otherwise it now drivable again.. one thing that still needs attention is the brakes, with the abs dissabled i can jump on the brakes hard and the car pulls up well, but the pedal ends up near the floor by the time i stop.. so it appears i had an underlying problem with the brakes to start with.. |

flush and replace with good fluid.
(check seals, bores, leaks etc.) Since you race it on occasion, I strongly recommend Castrol SRF (it's $, but has never let me down, unlike everything else I've tried).

the only problem i ever had with abs is that going over a railway crossing you learn not to bother with any brakes, it will just turn on abs and vibrate the pedal, and that i had a few problems with fault codes coming up and i had to clean sensors and reset, even had to change sensors once

yep, the brakes were flushed and bled when i fitted new pads after the last track day, im thinking it just might be time for a new master cyl, as fluid goes black pretty fast within a month its near black again... i have been running castrol responce fluid..
