i have the same problem. with the T-piece idea the only one i could find the sensor would tap straight to the T piece but would block the flow. im picking up a 2nd trans sump and will swap it over when i do a service

Troyman,

I've just caught up with thread, read about your unfortunate incident and had a look over your repair work, nice job on the repairs man! Pitty about the incident but at least it's repairable! Too much work has gone into this car to have it written off!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

i have a t piece thats a 3/8 bsp thread with 3/8 bsp to 10mm hose fitting and a 3/8bsp to 1/8 bsp adaptor, when screwed together the sender tip protrudes a few mm leaving plenty of room for flow.. but i do have a weld in bung for the pan, i just need to get it welded in..
for now or atleast untill i service or replace the box (which ever comes first) ill use the t piece on the cooler line..

Your welcome dude. There should be a few thermo's at the local wreckers, but the bonnet is going to be harder, might have to get another & paint it to suit your ED.

Cheers

it was busy but no quite not peak hour, i was on my way back from corimal and i could smell rubber burning, i also noticed alot of smoke after i gave it a boot full, so i stoped and checked under the bonnet and noticed the tensioner was cracked and the belt was running on the inside edge of the pulleys, i was only 15 mins from home, so i took a risk and tried to drive on but i didnt make it..
5 mins later a loud bang when the top half of the tensioner had been ejected out from under the car then it was pretty much over within 2 mins where it had overheated trying to get from the centre lane to turn into a side street..
