well i decided its time to give the locker a rest, it does what its ment to but does get annoying at times..

today i cracked open the lsd diff that was previously in the ed and found the centre is worn out, that would explain the random unreal one wheel peel the diff was displaying..

for those that are interested and have never opened up or couldnt tell the amount of wear on their lsd centres, here is how you tell how much life is in your centre..
there should be a gap between the lsd cone base and housing (red arrow)if there is no gap like in mine the lsd cone has worn to the point of bottoming out..
Image
so the worn centre combined with a leaky pinion and bearing noise means its off for a reco again..

also while the diff is out im going to swap the diff hat over to an au one lowering the wats link roll centre..
ed one on the left and au on the right..

They actually look surprisingly good!
Usually people just chuck whatever they find in but the colours actually go well with the rest of the interior, nice work!
And they'll be put to good use 8-)

yea i was a bit slack this time, i took a few pics though...

i just used a 20mm square tube at the front which bolted to the new seat, i welded a bracket to the tube that bolts to the factory rail..
the rear is just a flat plate welded to the rail that bolts directly to the seat..
