I was looking at those seats, and thinking they look like what we sell at work. The color works well Troy! How do you find them, worth the effort or too early to tell?
Cheers ToranaGuy

Cheers ToranaGuy definatly worth the effort, while the ed ghia seats are an awsome seat, but being 18 years old now alot of the sponge was starting to fall appart under the leather so time for replacements.. so far the new seats are really good, there a little firm but being new they will soften, i hope?. only problem is they currently sit to high for my liking, so im going to pull them back out and chop an inch or so off the rail legs.... |

I meant to check last night mate but just clean forgot.
Do they have the swing forward function for the back rest of the seat for fitting to a 2 door or a ute? Im thinking of getting a couple for the truck after seeing yours but I definately need them to be able to swing forward.

the back does go a fair way forward when the lever is pulled, obviously the base dont run forward like factory 2 door seats that has to be done manually...ill take a pick later and put it up...

yer I put the recaro xr seats in my hilux and realised afterwards how much of a pain it is to get behind them trying to wind them forward and back... I also kept the height adjuster, but like you mentioned after so many years they aren't as rigid as they used to be and I think they have very limited lifespan in my fourby.
Nice work Troyman, I miss my e-banga a little bit more everytime I see yours.

seats part 2....lol
pull the seats back out to give the rail legs a chop.. cut 30mm from the rear legs and about 10mm from the front.. here is a comparison before and after.. both rails chopped and welded. and finally fitted again... |

You know, you are teasin with this grinding n' stuff.
Best seats I have had, is the SS seats then close behind were the ED falcon futura seats.. The ELXR6 seats sat too high and apparently like that for all later models. So you chopping the new ones, well worth it as high seats piss me right off |

had a bit of a dig through the shed and found the inner door handles off the old ea, thought ill give them a go to add more of a darker theme to the interior..
not sure how much i like them yet?? next im thinking of re painting the centre console plastics, dash fascia stereo surround in a high gloss piano black instead of the gunmetal grey they are now?.. |

Door handles match the dark sections of the seats and seat belt colour.
If centre console you wish to do, think to match the dash pad will have to be dark also. |

If centre console you wish to do, think to match the dash pad will have to be dark also. as in centre console , i mean the shift surround, power window switches ect.. aswell as stereo facia, trip comp/heater control and cluster facia.. as you may remember std ea-ed dash plastics are a flat black, i originally painted them grey as 90% of the interior was grey on grey, now there is some black in the picture im thinking back to black, except high gloss instead of flat...???? |
