Hey all
Just brought home a '89 XF pano. Wanting to build it into a cool, daily van. It's a 250 crossflow, with the alloy head, and a 3 speed manual. Rough, but it managed 100km without any issues, so I think it's achievable. Problems I've spotted in the past 24 hours… -Rust in A pillars -Smells of petrol and oil, so leaking gaskets -Misfires irregularly -The thing that looks like a small radiator in front of the radiator looks rooted -Drivers door won't open without the key in the unlock position or holding up the lock thing on the inside -Passenger door won't open from the outside I've booked it into the shop to get an inspection anyway, just so I can get the full list of s**t I need to do. Any help or advice would be appreciated?

Haha, no real advice, good luck with it though mate they can come up pretty tough, as far as trouble with opening the doors goes replacement handles are easy to find on ebay (aftermarket, I have a set but I haven't fitted them yet but they look pretty good) the other issue with the doors is the plastic bushes in the hinge can wear but these are also readily available, open the door and lift it up and down from the back end, if it feels loose chances are that these are worn. Let us know how you go with it mate. How much did the car set you back?
