That would be good Timmeh. Nice improvement mate. Looking at doing this myself if I can source the parts cheap.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA funny s**t! I reckon you'd be able to crack a 13 with those kinda figures... Only a couple of months to go!

Up to 4,500rpm our power outputs are very similar Timmeh. The tune definitely sharpened up the top end.
These engines are just so economical and tractable on the street that I'll never own another. Won't be hearing stock doesn't rock anymore will we!!!!!!!! |

well done timmeh !
will look at a close sort of setup myself. "it's funny how my plan's have changed over 6 month's.....i think oil price is a big factor in that." mine being a daily driver your sort of power output is all i need. |

Once again, well done Timmeh. It's good to see that YOU have got such good results out of YOUR combo for such good money. And you manage to do it very humbly...

steveurban mine is a daily driver too at least until the end of the year which is why I think its a good power rating. The wife will have to occasionally drive it so it can't be neck snapping power.
T2TE50 I haven't seen your dyno graph I've just checked your engine thread and its not in there. Can you post it up in your thread so we can compare. Scaffy I try not to pretend I know something that I don't especially when in the company of you, Jeff, Schnoods, XR9UTE, TerroristGHIA etc. I look like a fool if I did. It has been a learning experience for me and now when someone wants a mild combo without massive expense I can point them to my thread and answer questions in my league. Thanks for the compliment. Another question I have is on my other graphs my peak torque at the flywheel is 4250rpm and the peak tractive effort at 4250rpm, is this when I should be changing gears at the drags? |

No definately not. Gear changes should be done at peak power, in your case 5250rpm. Peak torque (4250rpm) is where you should be launching at or thereabouts. I'd be looking at launching at 4000rpm and slipping the clutch to get a nice 60ft time. Hopefully when changing to the next gear revs will drop into the peak torque zone. Jeff

260rwhp is a nice result. Seems about spot on as Davo's AU 220 that your heads and cam came off made 250rwhp with exhaust, extractors, CAI and K&N filter and 10.5:1 AFR's. So with a good tune Simon was certain he could get another 10-20rwhp out of it with taking some fuel out of it. Peak power at 5250rpm seems about right also. Have you got the graph with the torque you can post up? I bet its going to feel alot smoother now, You might have to pop in some time, or visa versa, so i can check it out. Now dont be shy and get yaself ready for September to get the last set of numbers you need. Jeff 320nm @ 2000rpm (90hp) 367nm @ 3000rpm (155hp) 386nm @ 3500rpm (190hp) 410nm @ 4000rpm (230hp) 395nm @ 4500rpm (250hp) 370nm @ 5000rpm (260hp) These are rough figures taken using: {DESCRIPTION} and the dyno graph. Then i converted the lb-ft to nm {DESCRIPTION}
